don't know how many UL fans in the dc metro area, but i suspect alot of them would come to DC for this big game, to determien bgi east regular season champion... I am sure fans in the north east would take a trip down for a mid day saturday game. -m

if studs think spring break is more important then the biggest game of the regular season, against top two teams n the big east, to decide who wins the regular season championship, and probably considered the biggest game that day on tv. i am disappointed... that being said, i know some plans there trips way in advance.. but if you are just visiting your rents then get your a$$ back to campus a day earlier.. moms food isn't that good. -M

I hate 99% of the "fans" on this board. You can't just give a kid some love for a great dunk, you have to poison the koolaid. agree Rivers great dunk. Better this year then last. still a sophmore. enjoy the win and everyone is a freakin pessimist on this board. -M

The game was horribly officiated period. I am sure 'Nova fans are thinking that the Hoyas got the benefit of the calls, even before the last foul. As for the last foul, it was obviously a foul and those who are saying it wasn't a foul are blind. Having said that, it probably should only have been called if it caused Wallace to turn the ball over, and it did not. If I'm a 'Nova fan, I am sceaming bloody murder, though. But it's always a great feeling to say that I am not a 'Nova fan. My bigger question - why aren't our senior leaders calling a damn time out? (We had 2 left, didn''t we?) jt3 in his point game talk to csn sportsnite said for his players to not worry about calling a time out, he told them to press, and if he wanted to a to he would call it. -m

a win is A WIN is A WIN.... be in on a blocked shot, a last second 3, or an inane foul....
I am happier today then i was saturday night. Jwall is partially out of his 3 point slump. hit 3 for 8. still frustrating when with the slightest press we pass the ball four times to get over the half court line. some stupid turnovers when we were up by 13. But we won. that is all that matters. We beat nova (one of our biggest rivals) at home for the first time. One of the best point guards int eh country scored 24 points, but we were able to shut the rest of there team down and we won. We played tenacious Defense, even with the refs calling every slight touch. Yes there are things that need to be improved. Roy needs the ball more inside. The rival reels video were pretty weak (last year's was better), we need to improve against the press, cheerleaders still look like munchkins, roy should not be guarding scottie reynolds near the top of the three point line (ever though of switching out coverage), but in the end we won.

ditto the quality... it is painful to watch the game without HD.

Random fact Seton Hall is 4-1 in OT this year. random quote, we are 100% in OT this year. Saw some of the rutgers game. We should do well against them. Hopefully we will have summers back, who can get back in defense, when they try run and again. But i think rivers and freeman should be able to handle that if he is not. -m

guys remember, this was us 4 years ago... I really think the red men/storm, can make a resurgence. They recruit from a highly talented area. If they can get a coach that can really sang local talent, i think st. john's will make a resurgence. (not any time soon, but hopefully the can, I have a soft spot for original big east teams.

that was so depressing.... it just shows you how much JT3 has done, and how important a good coach is, not to on court stuff, but also to recruiting, player behavior etc. -m

wonder is there is a mandatory suspension or is upto calhoun discretion. I'm a big uconn hater and cannot stand calhoun, considering his previous ways he has treated recruits and players, but kinda impressed he would suspend his stars with out an official sanction yet. Thought he would wait til the last possible moment then suspend them. (try to get the tough indiana and louisville games out of the way....

Since my freshman year so long ago (94)... my tiers would go
I. cuse has always been the hated rival... II. uconn. and nova (just for historical purpose, i can never forgive them) III. pitt and WV IV. the rest are irrelevant.
but if we played umcp, that would jump to the top above cuse.. growing up in md.. hearing all the twerp crap... reading/seeing the media bias.. i would love to kick gary williams buttocks on a yearly bases. (and then watch him molest some drunk college girl and then get thrown in jail and then have his buttocks molested repeatedly)
I agree though it was has been very one sided until late ( with cuse).. I am glad we are on more even footing.. -m
