let us just settle this by getting all three. it would be awesome to see next year on the first home game raising the banner for "BET title" "Final Four" and then "National Champions".... i feel a tear trickling down my cheek right now. -M

I was never a big Sapp fan, but he really changed my mind today. Beside his clutch 3 to end and begin the halves, his defensive effort was amazing. He was able to hold reynolds down (by the way what an amazing freshman, really have to give him props, and glad he got in foul trouble).
By the way, i think this really answers the question what we can do when wallace and/or hibbert aren't playing well. Summers, PE Jr, Green, and Sapp all stepped up. Rivers was disspointing, what was up with the missed backcourt pass. Was he day dreaming or something, He really needs to step up before I will trust him running the offense. His passes weren't crisp...
Was it just villanova style of defense, but i felt like the princeton offense never got going. We weren't passing it well on the top of the key, a lot of hand off passes. We were never spreading the D out, which would allow open looks at the three point line or allow penetrating passes. and why when reynolds was in front of hibbert, where were the high passes that only a 7 foot 2 could reach.

Initially I was more for the sweet sixteen, but thinking more about long term reputation and the fact we haven't won one in almost twenty years, and we dominated it, I would really love to have the BET title more. (also i would nice to be BET regular season champs too). Having the most Titles is a very nice honor.

Wanted the board opinion on this. Last year there was a huge discussion about what would be better for recruiting/reputation/prestige. A BET title versus a sweet sixteen appearance.
Now that we are a year away from that. Do you think people more remember syracuse run through the BET versus our sweet sixteen appearance. I might be slightly biased and it might be because we are doing so much better then cuse this year, but i feel like our sweet sixteen appearance was better. (though this year i wouldn't mind both and more)...
By the way do you think they would put a BET title banner in phonebooth? or McDonough?

What footnote? Its only about the NFL teams. oh well, the power of wiki. There WAS a comment talking about how maryland fans started it and got in trouble for it. If you goto the twerp board's they have long discussion about how they started and the founders of "you suck".... anyways it is dumb and not really original. Change it to something more school specific would be better.... -M

The "you suck" chant is lame, it is a MD rip-off. Case closed. I agree. Maryland started it and we are copying the Twerps... unless you can get the crowd to change the chant to something "Hey G U" then kill the song. -M en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_and_Roll_%28Part_2%29(check out the footnote)

Dickie V is such a Duke apologist. Before the win last night, he was stated that there was no way they would not make the tournament. if they lose a few more they might not even be in the top 2/3 of there conference.
Also when invterviewed before the game last night, the commentator stated that who would have though that that BC or Tech would do well in the ACC. "Everyone knew that there football team would do well in the ACC, but the general consensus was that there basketball teams would be destroyed" BE basketball never gets any respect.
3 out of the last 10 champs are from the BE. ACC is 4 out of the last 10. very comparable.

Being at the game. I loved PE jr defending J. Wall. The coach was totally in approrpriate for touching an opposing player... but the best part was the chant. "A** H*LE" and "Sit Down Coach". Good coordination on that last one.
I think PEJr Techinical was more for his early shove and not his taunting. The ref were looking to cool something on him after that.
Bee hime, needs to be suspended. NO WAY should an opposing coach walk on to the floor, follow a player and grab him. no way.

Rebounds per ESPN box -- 30 to 15(!) Is that possible? Was WVU really that out of this game? Got to like Pitt coughing up a hairball, too -- Hoyas tied for top spot! Actually we are 1/2 game out of the top spot. Great game. I don't think i have seen the hoya execute backdoor cuts and passes like that all year. The are really a fine tuned machine. Green and Hibbert were really hoya-destroya's... My one question is why JTIII kepy Green in for so long. We were up by thirty and still kept Green in. Was he trying to get his numbers up?. I noticed right when hibbert got twenty, he sat down the rest of the game. And what is up with Crawford, why has his minutes been diseminated. I know he had the flu earlier in the year and lost like 15 pounds, but he really has been getting no minutes. Great win. On the metro ride home, heard the best quote from a WV fan "it looked like everytime there was a rebound there were 8 georgetown players on the floor, at times i actually counted" (i was thinking, a WV fan can count above five? -M

Ouch low blow Tbird. and since i shot that bird down i don't mind bieng in arguably the best and the worst recieved rival reals. As far as the idea. Back in the day: 80s? forget when exactly. The band would always play Hawaii 5-0 and this guy started dancing to it first in the stands and evnetually he started doing it out in the middle of the court and the fans loved it. That's where the idea comes from. Maybe someone else Lich? can explain it better. The pep band was still playing hawaii 5-0 at least in the mid 90's when i was there. -M

So since Roy was 7 for 12, does this put him up on national leaders for Field Goal percentage?
