better treat this game like a real game and not have a ODU-mcdonough debacle. -m

maybe it is our rims at the phone booth that make booth us and opponents suck as FT. Of they few of the ones we made today were even swishes, most banged on the rims went 3 feet in the air and miraculously landed.
for a team that has such a good 3point and fg%, we should be doing better on the charity stripe... giving away too many points... especially on the front end of a one and one. -m

metro'ing back right now from game....
few notes- we won but as with odu we didn't look so hot. freeman and wright were amazing. dujuan finnally showed up and wallace was as awesome the glue and made sure we stayed in.
but god damn everyone of them needs to 100 ft after practice every day.
agree with all burn white uni... god they r cursed....
bring on bama

great article on Sapp. I think he will be one of the leaders on this years team, but next year, i think as the dominant senior (assuming he doesn't go early, which i doubt), that i will be his team. Looking forward to it.
Camille gets alot of trashing, but i personnally think she does a decent gtown coverage. I am overall dissapointed in wpost and even wtimes (though to a lesser extent) coverage of a top 5 team in the country. I hope we get some more lead articles from senior columist once the football season ends, i think we will see some more articles from wilbon et al about us. Personnally not a big fan of Wtimes as a paper, but i love barker coverage and there overal coverage of us.

Great overall game. good fg and 3point... %... need to improve reboudning and ft%... Freeman was awesome.. macklin stepping up a little. dujuan seems getting a slow start.
anyone know, how come omar wattad doesn't get any minutes, even with a 20 point lead? injured, not getting the system? -M

I agree with the responders. Freeman and wright need minutes to help them for later this year and for next year, but i think we need not give them minutes to spite the obviously experienced and more efficient players we have. I like the balance we have right now, with JT3 giving them minutes to get experience, but still relying mostly on our experienced guard play.

Mad props to JT3 and his staff. One top signing after another. Planning for a dynasty... sweet. Especially now that every big signing is over Duke.
Just sent a link to the scout.com blurb to all my so call blue devil friends... HAH!

OK, this post comes to your from BurleithBeast's ancestral manse in beautiful Lake County Indiana. Just arrived from Muncie. Will try to do my best FLHoya imitation here. Thanks for the great first hand recap. I got to only listen the first half and from what i gathered from listening was that they played a tight zone and left us wide open outside. I think a combination of an off night shooting (28% for three) and off night on the line.. and we would have won by 15 to 20 and scared people less. a will take an ugly win over an ugly loss anytime. -M

if i remember my last HHC newletter/benefits mailing, it said that as HHC members you can request indidivudal tickets for games that you might be in town for, pending availibility and donation level, etc. etc.

agree students were great from my section. much better then saterday. Rebounding was ten tmes better. I think our true offense was in the first half... we were just playing around int eh second half with fast break and run and gun, it was not our true inside out offense that we run... It was nice to see the talent that i have heard so much about in wright and freeman. I was very impressed with the athletism of wright even though he really has only been practicing for about two weeks after his foot injury. freeman was good, but nothing spectalur. What suprised me the most was the play of macklin... With the bashing he got on this board this last week, i think he reallty stepped up his play. Obviously he is no Roy (even no Roy on an off night like tonight) but he showed glimses of what could replace roy. I was expecting soo much more of michigan outside game and threes, beside grady i was really dissapointed.. either out D was amazing or there O just sucked today... I liked how we switched from man to man to 2-3 zone alot... almost on possesion to possesion we changed... i think we did better when we played man to man, especially when we had a fast squad out there with rivers, wright and freeman, but i think we also did good when we changed to bigs and went to 2-3 zone with crawford, ewing, roy, sapp and wallace... i was suprised crawford got a lot of minutes... i was happy for him.. since his flu last year he never got back into the season, so it was nice to see him back in teh line up.. -M Freeman was just good, but not spectacular? Really? Which game were you watching? Did you go get a beer when he drove the lane for a explosive dunk, sunk numerous threes and grabbed a number of key boards? To me, he looked very good for a freshman in his second game. forgot about the dunk, which was very nice... I have very high expectations for freeman...(more then wright)... so I guess I am setting the bar high for him. waiting for the real test with the big east play.

Is anyone else a little upset that Jon is only shooting 80% from behind the arc? I mean come on ... I'm more woried that Roy is only shooting 89% Big ups to the students for filling up both sections before tip off, we'll work on the synchronization later Great to see so many students.. i think they actually might have had a student section in the upper deck also... but yyeah synchronization was way off.. I really like the 2-3 we played near the end. with roy in the paint, two fast guards (wallace/sapp) at the top and maklin and summer covering the wings... seemed much better then the rotating man coverage we had. i hope the rust gets shaken off fast though. -m
