As much as I hope they'll show up, I'm rather pessimistic about them. The turnout has definitely been lacking as of late.

17,000 is great for Cincinnati. That's a fantastic turnout.
After 14 home games, we're at 179,152 total fans, for an average of 12,797.
Georgetown's record is 12,637 per game, which means we're ahead of pace.
Even better, I think the Louisville game is virtually guaranteed to be a sellout, given it's a Saturday, it's Louisville, it's Senior Day and the last game of the year. So that's around 20,000. If that's true, we've basically got it, because we haven't had a Verizon game below 7,800 this year, and that was Fordham (USF was bad, too).

I'm not sure how the attendance numbers are tabulated when it comes to the student section, but the Louisville game is towards the end of the spring break. I'll definitely be there, but I don't anticipate both student sections being completely full since so many people will still be home.

St. Johns turnout will be weak - a 9pm game on Wednesday.

For L'ville, especially if it is for the championship, we need all the students there and loud, and we need all the "regular" fans the same way. Oh, and all there by tipoff. I'm watching the Memphis-Tennessee game, and it would be fantastic to have an atmosphere even approaching the one at FedEx. Can we do it? It will certainly be hard, but could we at least push to get a "gray-out" through the Hoop Club, radio, any other means?
Go Hoyas!

If you're a student who's got a L'ville ticket and you know you can't make it, get it to someone who can use it. Do all you can to get at least the lower bowl portions of the student section full.

Terrible planning on the part of the Big East and our athletics department... Really? Terrible planning to match up the preseason co-favorites in the last game of the regular season with the league title likely on the line? Newsflash: they don't schedule the season around Georgetown's spring break. Perhaps Georgetown could plan spring break based on the basketball schedule, but it turns out the school is not 100% in business to provide crowds for basketball games, so occasionally other considerations come into play too. The game has been on the schedule since October, so everyone who wants to come back to see it has known about it for long enough to plan accordingly, and hopefully a thousand or so will.

Yeah I'm going on spring break from Friday to Friday and getting back in time for the game. I know a bunch of other people made the same decision. A win will be the perfect way to end my vacation

The academic calendars are set up over a year in advance and then the major dates don't change. Athletics (I would think) tries hard to assemble a schedule that accommodates events like Spring Break, but with all the games they have to fit in, I would imagine it's quite a daunting task. And to top it off, the BET doesn't line up with SB for the first time since I can remember. However, this game is too important to miss, students. Get up and get there or find a way to have a Hoya fill your seat!
Spring Breaks get remembered but legends never die... follow your heart kid, and you can never go wrong.

if studs think spring break is more important then the biggest game of the regular season, against top two teams n the big east, to decide who wins the regular season championship, and probably considered the biggest game that day on tv. i am disappointed... that being said, i know some plans there trips way in advance.. but if you are just visiting your rents then get your a$$ back to campus a day earlier.. moms food isn't that good. -M

This always seems to be a question on these post-break games: When do the dorms open? If the school isn't planning to open them by Friday, PLEASE, PLEASE FIX THAT!
