Remeber Dickie V only watches ACC games so he has no idea of our play until it comes to tournie time or when we play ACC teams.

Growing up in Maryland and being in middle/highschool during the Esherick years while we were bad and the terps were good it was tough to be a hoya fan. It was pretty much me an Jimmyhoya against everyone else. How sweet it is to have things reversed. I have one thing to say to terp fans, " SUCK FAILURE FREAKS!" This is the reason i hate UMD. Also grew up in md, and was actually a fan of there during the joe smith erea, but once i went to gtown, the vitriol I heard from them, when AI played for gtown and then during the esherick era was unbearable. The way the dc media treated gtown as the Away team, and UMD as the home team during the whole 90's and 2000's is the reason i hate umd basketball.. also having a womanizing, mean-spirited, egomaniac as a coach also makes me despise them. -M

as with everything, the more you win the better you do..... it is amazing how much we have accomplished in the last 4-5 years. if we win, it can only get better.
ps.. we play duke... so all we have to do it put up and then they will shut up..

I think teams shouldn't be divorced from their name, that way when they get moved you get weird oddities like the Jazz playing in a city not known for jazz music or a Memphis team named after a type of bear that doesn't exist around the city. This is going to shock you, but there are also no longer Velociraptors in Toronto. also i don't see many rouge colored people in DC -M

good luck to braswell, but honestly, we all went to georgetown and saw what classes the bball players did and didn't take and what majors they had (few notable exception, rubin, j-wall, etc). They get ALOT of help (alot of it deserved with the amount of time the dedicate to the game), i don't have much sympathy for players that become academically ineligible. (though as i say that, i have to admit, many big time college players don't come in without a strong acadmic foundation, and i'm sure many have undiagnosed ADHD or other learning disabilities).
anyways, i'm glad the braswell issue it resolved amicably. Allows both sides to move on. -M

I personally thought the student section was a bit week during Louisville at Verizon. I really hope the thousands of students who now have gotten 2 years of top 10 basketball realize that this isn't something to be taken for granted. I have seats right next to the student section and trust me they were loud. i also lost my voice for a day or so... -M

msg is like home court for us. We play well there, and with the new york contingent of hoya alumni, we always have agood presence there. Just look at how the new york media covers us. we have more feature pieces in NYT and new york post then washpo or washtimes. Just points to all the alumni and fans up in nyc
