PITT cruise to a 16 and 0 record, will be ranked 1 or 2 probably when the conference play starts, just because they schedule a bunch of panzies at the start of the year. teams with schedules like that should not move up in rankings at all, even if the teams ahead of them are losing as long as they are playing tough competition.
sorry for the rant. it just gets on my nerves with a bunch of PITT friends.
HO HOYAS!

I know what you're saying. Although, to Pitt's credit, they are consistently in the mix year in and year out in the Big East and always do well in the BE tourney as well. So its not like they schedule cupcakes then get wiped out when they hit conference play.

yeah, but when you schedule 16 panizies, it allows you to lose 3 or 4 games and still remain in the top 25. it makes you look better than what you really are. if we lose 1, we drop out ( not that it means much )

This might get me yelled at on here but Who cares who pitt plays, pitt is really good. I cant believe Fields is still playing i mean it feels like hes been on the team 8 years. Is he close to his mid thrities??!!As much as i love my hoyas were going to have a tough time facing them. As far as cupcakes, it all evens out in the end with the big east schedule and SOS come seeding time. Go hoyas

I just like imagining that we start BE play with 3-5 undefeated teams. Hell, we even have Syracuse beating the defending champs. This league is insane this year.

The Pitt criticism might wear better if the Hoyas had actually beaten them last year.

We should never, ever criticize another team for having a cupcake schedule (I think ND and Syracuse have also been guilty of scheduling in this manner from time to time, but whatever). We lived in that glass house for far too long.

Agree with glass house sentiments and Pitt consistently being competitive in the BE. After watching Pitt out hustle the Hoyas at the BET last year, I'm keeping my mouth shut until it's time for revenge.

So its not like they schedule cupcakes then get wiped out when they hit conference play. Yes, but then they crap the bed every year in the big tourney. Hmm, perhaps because they are never ready for a team they aren't already familiar with?
