I know this was touched on a bit both on the ESPN broadcast last night and on the SJU post-game thread, but I thought the topic deserved its own thread. What are the chances that Chris Wright plays again this season?
Judging from what I've read/heard, he has been practicing with the team since last week. That means by the Louisville game, he will have been practicing with the team for 3 weeks. Any chance he plays in that game and for the rest of the season? He could be just what we need to push the Hoyas over the hump from a great team to a title contender.
I'm wondering what any students/alumni have heard regarding the situation and what people think his impact could be on the Hoyas.

A side question - have we ever determined whether or not he can still redshirt? That, to me, seems the critical question - if he can do it, then I don't think that him returning is worthwhile compared to having him around for another year.
If he can't, then I'd expect him to come back if and when he's ready and cleared medically.

I would love him to get healthy. No idea how his return would impact the rotation. I fear the minutes would come from Wallace.
I doubt many people will "speculate" since it is against the rules.

I want to get a comment in before the Mods tell us to stop speculating.
Chris Wright had an affair with a lobbyist.

Chris Wright is NOT eligible to be redshirted this season.
He has played in a certain % of Hoyas games thus far which takes him out of consideration.
Casually.

There are so many rumors about Chris Wright - he'll play, his foot wasn't the reason he was out, the foot is worse than people think ...

Chris Wright was once pictured wearing "tribal garb."
I'm not sure myself about the redshirt thing, but on other threads, people have said pretty conclusively that he can't get a redshirt. I don't think the minutes would necessarily come from Jon, I think they'd come more from Jeremiah. Remember, Chris is a pretty solid defender in his own right and has the quickness to stick with some of the guards that Jeremiah usually draws.

My conspiracy theory of the day.
JTIII upon realizing how much Chris adds to the team dynamic decides early on to have Chris be his secret weapon. A fake injury followed by "sprains" allows JTIII to "bench" Chris for the season. BET comes along and Chris comes off the bench at our moment of peril and takes over the game driving us to the BET title and eventually a championship as no other teams can create a gameplan to deal with him
....wishful thinking?

Because Chris Wright could possibly our team win as it heads into the post season. Why else would anyone care?
Wright's already played in too many games to get redshirted, so if he could come back this season without putting himself at risk, that would be a welcome addition.

Chris Wright was once pictured wearing "tribal garb." Not that the powers that be in the Hoya and the Voice would ever run that picture! They won't talk about it on WGTB either. The hilltop media is giving a pass to Chris Wright, and it's not fair.

I heard Wright wanted to stay off the court out of fear that an injury would bump him out of this year's draft lottery

I arlready speculated that CW will score the first two baskets in the BET, becoming the second coming of Willis Reed.

Isn't Dayton's Chris Wright also injured?
I smell a conspiracy, all right, but you guys are off base. Some group is out there attempting to injure all Chris Wrights. If your name is Chris Wright, you had better watch your back!

Just goes to show JTIII's brilliance - he obviously sniffed this threat out ahead of time, and manufactured a CW injury so that the bad guys would leave him alone.

This is not a rumor... his facebook page currently says he "is patiently waitin till the day I gets bak on the court..GEWN!!" that doesn't mean he's waiting for the day he gets back on the court THIS SEASON. of course he wants to play again, but who knows when that will be.
