Thanks guys. I really appreciate all the fan support we've got all year. Disclaimer: I am not actually DaJuan Summers. The Admins like to censor my posts when I jokingly post as if I were DaJuan Summers. So to make this clear enough for the Admins, I am not DaJuan Summers, he is merely my favorite Hoya, my handle and my avatar. Wait...really!? Disregard my fan PM's, then, fake DaJuan. By the way, did you see those signs last night...DA and JUAN? Those signs were around all regular season, and they made a timely return last night....DA! JUAN!

I just spoke with the Athletic Dept., and the girl I talked too seemed to think there were more student tix. Does anyone know what section the students will be in, or at least what level they will be in? Thanks for the help.

Tickets to the Tombs are $7. For that price, you get a cold pitcher of the finest, golden Busch Light and the greatest gamewatching atmosphere this side of East Rutherford.

I actually think that there were more GU fans than any other contingent, but our problem was that our lower-bowl presence was hurting. Both Vandy and UNC had an entire lower bowl section filled up, and I just didn't see that for the Hoyas. The upper level, though, was probably 2/3 GU and 1/3 everyone else, though. This lack of a high lower-bowl concentration hurt us because we couldn't get any stadium-wide cheers coordinated. If there had been some better coordinated Hoyas cheers, the stadium would have shook with "Let's Go Hoyas!" People at the game need to figure out how to coordinate better for tomorrow's game.

Great find. I enjoy how hatred has turned to respect in the New York area.

Wow, that's a really funny write-up and it's right on the spot in terms of accuracy. Chicken finger Thursdays...the best! Everyone hates Jared Dugley...correct! The Hoyas travel well to the NYC area...yessir! The Tombs...forgot to mention the Busch Light (delicious). I am, however, still partial to the first WAG shirts:
"Some have forgotten; we will remind them."

I mean I'm not sure whether your computron was affected by Daylight Saving Time, but you started this thread "Yesterday at 11:42pm"--which is clearly not today, the day of the game. That said, t-minus 4ish hours until departure for Lot 22!! It's not my fault that the Proboards clock moderator is apparently based in Arizona. All I know is that my post was at 12:42 EST, well within the realm of the Day of the Game. See you in Lot 22. GO HOYAS!

Caution: Cliches Ahead OK folks, it's officially the day of the game. Time for the Hoyas to go out there and get it done. Tonight's games make it clear...no one wants to go home at this point, no one. The Salukis gave Kansas all they could handle; no team can be taken lightly. Tennessee buried OSU in the first half, but the Oden-gang pulled a Kill Bill 2 and broke out of the coffin to take it with a big 2nd half. No team can be taken lightly; this is more true right now than at any other point in the season. *Defense is key. UCLA proved this (even though Pitt scored more than they did against the Hoyas in the BET Chamionship ), as they continued winning even with their terrible oaf-fense. SIU almost caught Kansas with great D. Tennessee decided not to show up on D in the second half and lost. *Fouls. We were hurt a lot by this in the first half of the BC game, and OSU almost got caught with their pants down once Oden got in trouble. Obviously we have to play our game; but if the refs get frisky with Roy and Jeff, the rest of the team must step up. *Foul shots. Make them. UCLA might have lost had they kept to their season percentage on foul shooting instead of going 23-26 from the line. Tennessee kept clunking towards the end, and lost by 1. Kansas almost lost because they couldn't make a free throw to save their lives. *Play to the end! (As much as I hate to compliment OSU...) OSU could have given up at the half, but they kept fighting and won. A&M ran out of gas at the end, missing shots and rebounds; Memphis kept playing hard, got the rebounds when the shots weren't going down, and won. Man, I'm nervous right now. See you all in Lot 22, where my presence will be announced by the shrill whine of whistle-tip equipped hoopdie. Woo-wooo! GO HOYAS!!! SINK THE COMMODORES!!!

That was painful reading, so to paraphrase: Al McGuire told Lic a story about how once he was going out, and his grandmother told him to eat a banana that was sitting around. Al declined, saying that he wasn't hungry and had to leave. Upon returning, Al was hungry, so he looked for the banana, but it wasn't there. His grandmother let him know that it was gone, and told him, "Al, if you have a banana, always eat the banana."
Moral of the story: If you have a chance in life, take it.
This relates to the Hoyas in that we have the chance to do great things in the tournament, so we should take advantage of that chance. Thus each game becomes the proverbial banana. (Although I don't see how this shouldn't apply to every game the Hoyas play)

I like the way we have it now. I think that there has been a lot of moving recently, and on some of these the mods may have used an itchy trigger finger, but I think that for the most part our current format works really well. I agree with DanMcQ that if we allow other teams' information on HT, then the Georgetown threads will get pushed too quickly. And besides, it would give HiFi his best excuse yet to butt his oversized Gator head right into the center of our beloved board. We cannot let this happen. 98% of the time the mods get it right; let's not make any drastic, cluttering changes over a few mistakes.

in all seriousness though, the biggest jinx is someone calling anything and everything a jinx. The first rule of jinxing is dont talk about jinxing I think my head just exploded.

Do you really think this is going to put things to rest? If anything, this opens the door for a bunch of threads within a thread: a stupid message from Ed Stimes**; trying to annoy YB about the true purpose of his rally (at this point he should just take credit for having a fire-Esh rally), which will hopefully devolve into making fun of where YB lives and his dancing (I have nothing against the little guy, but I enjoy immensely when he gets upset); jokes about III's offense being different than Esh's offense, namely III's not running the fist play; and someone being called an Esherick apologist. Then some general Esh bashing with a sprinkle of "he's an alum, leave him alone." That should cover most of Thurs... You make me sick; you are the worst kind of blatant Esherick apologist. Also, I forgot to point out above that Esherick has the best finger-point-move perhaps in the history of the world. Not one of you can debate that.

Good find, grandpa. Now let the Esh bashing be put to a rest for good. We all have to move on. Umm, no. He's a great fan, but a bad coach. I think we can all support his new fan role though. Addition: Perhaps this article has embedded in it the answer to the mystery of Feinstein's disappearing memory. Feinstein continuously states that GU didn't make the BE Tourney in 2004. The article points out, however, that the Hoyas failed to live up to their usual excellence by not reaching the BET quarterfinals for the first time that year. Perhaps somewhere in the sick, twisted mind of Feinstein this information got muddled, and now he is just plain confused. The alternate explanation is that the man is composed of pure concentrated evil, maybe mixed with bits of poo.

Good luck to Broadus, and it'll be interesting to see whom JTIII comes up with, but the assistant coach news I'm eagerly awaiting is still a little over a year away, when Georgetown announces the hiring of JONATHAN WALLACE as the next member of JTIII's staff.
Tell me I'm wrong.
