I'm not sure it's fair to refer to Pitt as a "Big East" team.

The ANC has formulated its recommendations. They are as well-informed, sensible, and reasonable as you would imagine: * New enrollment caps should be set lower than the current student population, in order to remedy past injustices. * Limits must be imposed on the number of students living off-campus, with further enrollment decreases if those limits are not met. * Magis Row on 36th Street should revert from undergraduate housing to accommodations for older faculty. * The University should not be permitted to acquire more property in zip code 20007 without approval from the Board of Zoning Adjustment. * University and Hospital buses should not be allowed to go through the neighborhoods, but rather enter and exit the campus via Canal Road only. * Students who commute to Georgetown by car should not be allowed to park in the surrounding neighborhood. * Georgetown should create a shuttle system to ferry students from M Street bars back to campus on weekend nights. * Georgetown must develop strong measures to address off-campus student conduct, treating parties outside the university gates, for example, as strictly as those inside it. These are going to be gold in court when that finally occurs, right? Bad faith much?

Wasn't it the case that neither team made it to the bonus in the first half? The refs had a couple bad calls (the two reach-ins against Syracuse weren't exactly shining moments in refdom), but they were hardly calling this one tight. Maybe he should ditch his fullback shoulders and learn the smooth baby hook from our boy JV.

I have to admit, though, I was happy he missed that last shot. I didn't want any part of overtime. It's really hard for me watching the Lakers play the Thunder, as I have to root against my favorite Hoya of recent years and a Bruin who I also liked a lot. Wait, Jon Wallace plays for the Thunder? Who knew!?

I realize this is still anonymous sourcing, but what the hey! My guy (or is it gal?!!?) has met and spoken with Reed, and he (or she?) is confident that Hoyas will be impressed and excited to have him on the team. Combined with generally good press coming out of Cleveland, I don't see any reason to discount him as a good leader of the AD.
At the very least, we'll have an actual Athletic Director, and that's gotta count for something, right?

Lee Reed, currently the AD at Cleveland State, will be named as Georgetown's new AD tomorrow. Not as cool as Lou Reed, but hey, you heard it here first. As recently as 2008, his name was not mud in Cleveland: www.csuohio.edu/news/releases/2008/07/leereed.htmlDespite risking being run out of town with torches and pitchforks, I'm not revealing my sources...but it's not this man: bit.ly/bu7v36.

What a bummer. We won't have to translate this kind of post ever again. Woe is us!
BTW, were you ever to post again, you would be better served by boiling your post down thusly:
Hoya Saxa.

As someone who's been unemployed 6 months and desperately wants to work, Sen. Bunning can suck my balls. Senator Bunning has not been unemployed for 6 months, and even if he had been, why would that make him want to suck your balls? Be more constructive with your criticism, please.

So far this last season of lost has mirrored the first. 2 hr premier followed by kate centric and Locke centric. If the pattern continues which i'm positive it will, we're in for a jack centric episode. So I expect to see jack's off island adventures: Is he married? How's that life going for him? It seems like his relationship with his dad was still contentious since he wanted to bury him right away still. I also expect us to return to the temple on island. Kudos, HSB. Hothead Jack it was!

On Friday, when Bode and Andrew Weibrecht were busy taking silver and bronze in the Super G, NBC decided showed only a handful of skiers from that race, instead opting to show EVERY SINGLE ice dancing compulsory routine. It was not a medal night for ice dancing, and each routine was the EXACT SAME! Pathetic choices of coverage all Games long for NBC, and this is the worst example.

Wow. It's been a while since HiFi slipped into the background as the most annoying casual fan on this board, but JimmyHoya has just taken the baton...and begun running with it! What an incredible hoser.
Also, buses are not the answer. Buses were discontinued because they sucked, plain and simple. They didn't boost attendance--they just made getting to a game a (more) miserable experience. Might I recommend the Circulator?

Anyone else think this movie would be well served by a mute button and some Pink Floyd?

With his 3 FTM tonight, Vern has now made more free throws thus far this season than he did in two years at GU ... in 34 fewer attempts no less. Not surprising, considering the system isn't holding him back anymore.

Nothing on this forum about the OT travesty? Nothing!? I'm no Favre fan, but nor am I a detractor, and I was pretty much a neutral watching the game last night. The Vikings did everything they could to lose it during regulation, but they still made it to OT. Fumbles didn't lose the game. INTs didn't lose the game. What lost the game were three consecutive game-changing calls by the refs. I have never once seen a game so clearly stolen by the officials. Pass interference!! That pass was ten yards out of reach!! Diving for a first down!??!! Since when has forward progress been given on a bobbled ball??? A catch to get into FG range??!!?? That ball BOUNCED on the ground!! What a load of crap. For a neutral, that was a fun game to watch, right up until it was taken out of the players' hands.

Anyone see/hear anything about a fight against Louisville? No better way to put a stain on a great season than to become nationally infamous for fighting. Any word on this?

I'm no pro-Raven guy, but I think that Ravens fans are, on the whole, a pretty good group of supporters. First of all, they coat their city in team colors on Sundays (hello, DC!). Secondly, they aren't overly obnoxious in general--sure, you'll get looks wearing another jersey in BMore on an NFL Sunday, but that's the way it should be. They won't be rude towards you, though, and you're much more likely to get a conversation about football than some sort of insult slung your way. Same goes for out-of-town fans--while I'll avoid a bar where I know there will be a lot of Eagles fans, I have no qualms mixing with Ravens fans. So yeah, several morons, but overall nice folks, which matters a lot more.
