It would be great to hear the final seconds of Rich's game call. Anybody have it?

There is an enormous billboard by MSG. It is an ad for the new Nike shoes (a pair for every big east team is shown) and in big letters it says FROM HOYA PARANOIA TO NOVA NATION.

To check if a ticket to the BET is legit - scratch the back of the ticket with a coin and there should be some sort of logo that shows up.
Scalper showed me this trick last year and all the tickets I bought from him were legit.

I think it is VERY likely Georgetown/Cuse will play twice a year from now on.

Going for 21 consecutive all-star games today. But the streak is in jeopardy if Iverson isn't selected as a non-starter today. Not even North Carolina can match this:
85-86 Ewing 86-87 Floyd 87-88 Ewing 88-89 Ewing 89-90 Ewing 90-91 Ewing 91-92 Ewing/Mutombo 92-93 Ewing 93-94 Ewing/Mourning 94-95 Ewing/Mourning/Mutombo 95-96 Ewing/Mourning/Mutombo 96-97 Ewing/Mourning/Mutombo 97-98 Mutombo 98-99 Lockout 99-00 Iverson/Mourning/Mutombo 00-01 Iverson/Mourning/Mutombo 01-02 Iverson/Mourning/Mutombo 02-03 Iverson 03-04 Iverson 04-05 Iverson 05-06 Iverson 06-07 ?

Currently we have averaged 9,264/ game at Verizon. We also have our 3 biggest attendance games still left to play(all are Saturday games) and a Monday game with WVU.
Conservatively if we get:
Marq = 17K Pitt = 16k Conn = 15k WVU = 9
Then we'll avg. 10,593/game at Verizon and that is without a big draw out of conference game and no Syracuse. I thought we would do better but still not bad.

If they were to beat us this year that would certainly heat up any potential rivalry. Especially if after the game Crean said "100 years of Georgetown basketball are officially over"

Of the current Georgetown NBA players looks like Mourning only one who could make it.

Great Idea! Hopefully they get a lot of entries. For BE tourney tickets its definitely worth the effort.

AOL and Ted Leonsis have been supporters of Georgetown basketball and I believe AOL was an advertiser during the bad years so I have no problem with their logo on the shirts.
Maybe one day we will be playing at the AOL John Thompson Arena on campus.
I think this is a good move by the athletic department to build relationships with advertisers.

Just got 4 seats in Section 2 - Row D. Wish I could have gotten Row A, but it looks like at least I will only be behind Hoya fans.

It is not possible for the McD games to be included in the season ticket plan because there are more season ticket holders than space in McD.

I think it would be wise for the athletic department to print tickets for this event and make them available only to students for the first week and then any left over can be for alumni. I think we can expect over 2,000 students will want to attend and if there isn't an organized way to gain entrance to Midnight Madness there is going to be a lot of disappointed people not getting in.
This will be the best midnight madness Georgetown has ever had because:
1) We have the best exhibition dunker we have ever had (PE Jr.) 2) We have the best recruiting class (Jeff/Roy/Jon/Tyler) we have ever had (not just based on performance but also based on character) 3) We have the best student support in the history of the program 4) We have a top 10 team- and the best team team in the big east 5) HoyaBlue has continually exceeded expectations
