As a person who wasn't there to see it in person I appreciate the effort putting this online. Good job to those responsible.

I can't watch at work - is this from the game or from the gala?

That is great! Some players look pretty much the same as when they played (Jim Christie and Jim Brown except for the hair), others look like they aged a bit (which is natural) like Jim Barry. Some have put on weight (Freddy and Patrick), but some have remained slim - Sleepy and Charles.

It would have been a nice idea to invite back all four year players for the event as well. They could have simply had them all stand up to be acknowledged. I am sure it was a nice event, but if you want to raise money for a stadium, it would say a lot if all team alumni donated to the cause. You always want to make people feel included in the celebration. I think they are doing a much better job however in promoting the team.

They were ringing the court throughout the All-Century Intros at halftime.

I have talked to one who didn't get any info and it wasn't Kevin Millen. Hopefully it was the exception and not the rule.

I have talked to one who didn't get any info and it wasn't Kevin Millen. Hopefully it was the exception and not the rule. Invitations were likely sent to all players that had an address on file with Georgetown. The problem is, of course, that some alumni (athlete or otherwise) never update their address information. This is usually more of an issue with younger than older alumni. Thr representation of classes (going back to 1946) was still impressive, and, excepting those still in the NBA, all but two of the living All-Century team members made it back, and of those who were deceased, family members represented them at the gala. Per the View from the Hilltop blog, a DVD is being prepared of the weekend. That promises to be a must-have for Hoya fans everywhere.

DFW:
Good to see you were recognized during the event and pictured in the slide show. We don't say thanks often enough in between rants. So, Thanks.

Too bad David Wingate didn't make it back. Also, AI was probably available, but was at the local Macy's instead (staying over for All-Star activities).
I will definitely be up for the DVD.

The DVD is a great idea and will sit nicely next to the Duke video on my shelf. They should charge a decent markup and put the profits toward razing McDonough.

Columbia: DFW is correct - I talked to some of the organizers and they contacted as many people as they had on their lists - but the lists were not complete. If anyone knows of people who were missed, it was not for lack of trying and the Athletic Dept / HHC would love to have their contact info for future events.
