In past years I believe anybody could go to Midnight Madness but I think Hoyablue and the athletic department should be prepared to have to turn people away.
There really should be a very organized way to have people get tickets before the event -- otherwise its going to be out of control at the front doors.

Aren't there $5 seats available - if so there is no need for an upperdeck student section - buying tickets on a per game basis is cheaper than buying student season tickets.

What happened yesterday with student season ticket sales:
Did they sell out? Was there a big turnout? Did they say anything about expanding the student section?

WHINE WHINE WHINE -- someone will always find something to whine about.
A home schedule that includes: NOVA, UCONN, PITT, WVU, Cincy, Depaul, ND, Marquette and Oregon
is well worth the cost of season tickets.

I think averaging approx. 15,000/big east game would be a good goal for us this season.
Looking at our schedule I think it might be possible - do these attendance predictions seem reasonable?
Depaul--------11G Marquette----11G Cincy----------12G Pitt-------------16G Nova-----------16G WVU------------16G UConn----------18G ND---------------18G

Ashanti's brother Ahmaad Cook signed with Ronny at Ball State
Cook, a six-foot point guard, finished his senior season at Westchester High School in Los Angeles with a 25-7 overall record. He averaged 15 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals per contest and guided Westchester to the Los Angeles City Championship, defeating nationally-ranked and favorite Fairfax in the semifinals and Woodland Hills Taft H.S. in the title game.
Cook, who is the younger brother of Georgetown guard Ashanti Cook, was named the Most Valuable Player of the Los Angeles All-City Basketball Championship and also earned MVP honors earlier in the season at the Westchester Tip-Off Classic, where Cook led his team to a 4-0 record and the classic title.
Westchester High School is a nationally-ranked high school program known for developing players such as Amir Johnson (the last high school player taken in the NBA Draft and current member of the Detroit Pistons), Trevor Ariza (UCLA and current member of the Orlando Magic) and Hassan Adams (Arizona) among others.
"Ahmaad knows how to win," Thompson said. "He comes from a perennial top five or top 10, nationally ranked program at Westchester. He has a pedigree of winning and winning at a national level. He's a playmaker who can knock down shots."

Daymond Jackson is one of the best people in the history of Hoya Hoops - he could miss a million layups and I would still want him on my team.

Always root for the Big East.
Next year if we have a similar record to Seton Hall/Cincy - the better the conference does the more likely we would get in.

I will be rooting for NOVA and appreciate the support at Wachovia.
Both teams do need each other and I would be very happy to go back to the days of '85 (with one little change) where GTOWN/SJU/NOVA were on top of the basketball world.

Yesterday I got there very early - about 9:30 for the 12pm game. There were only 2 guys selling. They wanted around $60 for $25 tickets.
If you go closer to game time you shouldn't have a problem getting a ticket.
Good Luck.

I think that was definitely the case. All the Cuse fans stayed and rooted for ND. So we were fighting an uphill battle. But the Gtown fans near me were loud and our student section was great
ND/Cuse/Cinci didn't seem to have the mini student section we had.

As soon as SUCKS won there fans quickly turned to rooting for ND. Great job by our fans - seemed like we had a lot of people at the game and the small band/stundent section did a great job being loud.
Any cuse fan who tells you they aren't into the Gtown rivalry anymore is lying. I was sitting near 50 Cuse fans and every single one was pulling hard for ND.
Also anyone see James White and Devendork going at it at the end of the game. Almost came to blows. Devo is by new most hated player.
