For all the negative posters out there RELAX.
You guys complain about not having a national search when you know nothing about the search. And don't complain about Georgetown's secrecy about the process either--just look at the mess SJU went thru and decide which way you like.
JTIII has 1) been to the NCAA's twice in 4yrs 2) has done it while having to meet high academic standards 3) has connections in the DC area and 4) LOVES and is committed to Georgetown
I don't know how anyone would think this isn't a great hire and if you don't think so ---you will be proven wrong shortly

PG - Wallace SG - Cook SF - Owens PF - Bowman C - Green
I know it would be a VERY small lineup but I wouldn't be surprised if either Wallace/Ross started in the backcort.

I would love to get a copy of this movie
"Triumph of Tradition" (the 1984 Georgetown men's basketball season).
Does anyone know how I can get a copy without ordering it online.
Thanks.

"Georgetown coach John Thompson III said he has no problem playing GW and Maryland but doesn't want to schedule coaching friends at Princeton, Air Force and Northwestern. GW hasn't played G'Town since 1982. The Hoyas need another home game after Albany dropped them."

For anyone who thinks we're going to be good this coming year they are kidding themselves. It won't matter how well JTII coaches because Esherick has left us with very little.
Our senior class : Tony Bethel--Gone Thomas--Gone Hall-Gone Owens--average ability
Junior Class: Bowman---Good not great Cook---streaks of good but probably the worst pt guard in the big east last year.
Sophs: Sead---non factor reed--non factor Causey--not a big east player and it wouldn't be a big deal if he transferred.
Freshman: J Green---our best hope hibbert--a project crawford--not highly rated Cornelio---unknown
In 3 years Esherick brought in only 2 players that are proven big east players(Bowman and Owens)--and neither one is great.
As far as this being a great recruiting class---I think the only one who is of Big East quality is Green possibly Cornelio.
Even if we give Esh the benefit of the doubt thats 4 big east caliber players in 4 years.
JTIII has brought one(Josh Thorton) --in just a few months.
JTIII is moving fast but it will take at least 2more years before we make the NCAA's

Starting Lineup for next year:
1. Cook 2. Owens 3. Bowman 4. Green 5. Guibinda
Not that bad-----Not an NCAA team but better than last year.

I think we should wear the Gray uni's at home and get rid of the light blue ones but I think its more up to Nike than Georgetown.

A friend of mine was eating at The Diner in Adams Morgan and JTIII/Burke and 2 recruits came in to eat---my friend got a picture with JTIII and said he was incredible nice---he couldn't tell me much about the recruts except that they were tall.
