I wonder what other posters feel about this topic. For me, the saving grace of the loss to Arkansas in 1994 was knowing that i'd never have to see robert Churchwell in a Hoya uniform again.
Good skills, decent numbers, some great games, but a loser as evidenced by his short arming that 8 footer against Vegas in the tourney.
So glad to see him go I almost got over how horribly Higgins botched the Clint McDaniel fight call in that game.

Yeah I can't believe that kicked out Don Reid for coming off the bench. That rule is hideous.

I don't like this thread at all. That being said, Harvey Thomas had to go.

I don't like this thread at all. Ditto. I have a feeling I know where this thread is headed, right soon. I don't like to see anyone leave, but I guess it's not a bad thing that Kenny Brunner's name is not too closely associated with the program.

Think we could all agree we were glad to see Ewing, Mourning and AI go.

I was glad to see Esh go. He's the worst coach of all time, any sport, any level.

Since Harvey's already been mentioned, I'll go with Drew Hall. I'm still trying to forget him chucking a shot from halfcourt when there was still 4 seconds on the clock.

Sam Jefferson Can't forgive him for @ Syracuse '90..."GET YOUR BLACK ASS AWAY FROM HIM, SAM!!!!" ...nor the missed dunk in the '89 Regional Final... Thanks, aggy. I'd successfully repressed those two incidents, now this. That missed slam/entire game was my first real taste of disappointment as a sports fan. Little did I know the Bills would be serving up the main course for the next four years! I was actually at that game... pretty sure it was the one where 'Cuse set the all-time NCAA single-game attendance mark (which they broke the following year against G'Town). The thing I remember the most is that eight-free throw bonanza D.C. had, which was capped by Owens' trey on the ensuing inbound. Something like an 11-point trip down the court if memory serves. Before the foul and techs I think G'Town was up by four or five and after the madness they were DOWN five or six. But I also learned to love JT that game, so SOMETHING good came out of it.

I think you are right about the attendence record, and I have the same recollection of that game.

Daymond Jackson is one of the best people in the history of Hoya Hoops - he could miss a million layups and I would still want him on my team.

I really dislike this thread- we don't do near enough supporting of our Hoyas, and too much armchair criticizing.
I'm not happy to see any of our 3 big seniors this year go- I think we'll miss them next year.
Godwin Owinje, maybe?

I have a soft spot for Churchwell as he used to stop by the Leavy Center Pub and ask me to fill his Nike water bottle with St. Louis' finest a couple times a week.

Man, it's not even May yet - this off-season is going to be hard to endure! Since my response to this has sometimes changed from game to game, not just season to season, I had better decline the opportunity.

Sorry, Buff... But he's my Bill Buckner... Only a Final Four trip can soothe(sp) the pain of those two plays...
