Since Harvey's already been mentioned, I'll go with Drew Hall. I'm still trying to forget him chucking a shot from halfcourt when there was still 4 seconds on the clock. I'm still mad at Hall for that stupid foul against Pitt that wasted Bowmen's clutch free throws to tie the game. And his mini-fro sucked too.

I always liked Drew Hall...probably beyond irrationally (we're not gonna go through the list of post-Nat Burton players I've done this for cause it's depressing). I used to defend him all the time before he left for CoC and got the indefensible Pirates of the Caribbean hairstyle. Always seemed like a guy asked to do waaaaaaaaay too much in important situations for the amount of talent he had. It was like he was forced into being Kevin Braswell Part 2 in end-game situations his entire sophomore year...which he was NOT capable of doing (see: well, pretty much every result). I saw him bust his ass all the time on the court and make HUGE effort plays...nobody ever mentions that some pure effort play he made saved our ass in regulation and almost every overtime in the 4OT game against Notre Dame. Least he had the Providence game in the BET, and FINALLY hit a clutch shot at N. Carolina in the NIT. So I guess my point is he didn't suck, and he should've probably gotten credit for more stuff than he did, but he was definitely thrown in way over his head for his talent level.

Hall was thrown under the bus by a driver who should have had his license suspended.

This is an easy one. The players I've been happiest to see go?
All the guys who left with their degrees! Every single one. That's what JT-Pops was all about, with the deflated basketball and his whole philosophy. There's more to life than Basketball, and getting a GEORGETOWN degree is worth a lot.
Look at guys like Michael Jackson and Ralph Dalton and many others who have gone on to successful careers after their playing days were over.

I'll say this for Drew Hall - he had cojones. Not neccesarily in a good way. But for a guy who couldn't shoot and really had no business holding the ball in an end game situation, he got that Jordan gleem in his eye when the clock started to run down. You know when you'd see 23 lick his lips coming out of a time out, and you just knew he was going to find his shot and make it? That's what Drew Hall had, except he had no reasonable chance of making the shot. But there's something admirable about a guy who would come down, see Mike Sweetney single covered in the post calling for the ball, and not even THINK about passing it. Crazy, but admirable.
BTW, that Pitt call was a horrendous call - really the beginning of my desire to torture Tim Higgins with a rusty chainsaw. No time on the clock, Julius Page got his look - keep your damn whistle in your pocket Tim. No one came to the game to watch your dumbass prance around making calls. Ahem.

I say we take this thread in a whole new direction. I will name a few players I was happy to see go:
Gerry McNamara...Marcus Camby...Ray Allen...Brevin Knight (wasn't he there for like 9 years?)...

Sean Dockery...Rashaad Anderson...Julius Page (well, all of Pitt's players, basically, but he was especially intolerable)...
Ray Allen was awesome, btw. Hated him for the obvious reasons, but that kid was a helluva shooter.

Funniest post in quite awhile. Great job, NYC. And thanks to all who responded to my Drew Hall nomination and posted their thoughts. They've been entertaining to read, to say the least.

Old Man Krauser, followed Knight in the Pitt tradition of guards who seemingly stay around forever. Although, wasn't Brandin the Pitt guard....I always get them confused.

Brevin Knight played for Stanford. It was Brandon at Pitt.
EDIT: Looked it up. It was Brandin, not Brandon, Knight at Pitt

Mine as a Hoya was Robert Churchwell. Inconsistent. Had po, but frustrated the hell outta me. I guess you could say he was consistently inconsistent.

Ben Gillery my friends...Big Ben just didn't have it! ahhh yes...Big Ben... That one game at the 'Cuse where he had about 10-15pts to spark the Hoyas to a victory may have been worth 4 years of me scratching my head...
