They have highlights of all the championship games up to '96, and they will be adding the rest. Click on the red years in that link -- some great stuff.

I think we shouldn't have stopped playing aggressive offensively for roughly the last quarter of the game, that's what I think.
Man, I hate that game!

Ugh. Maybe Ray Allen's shot should not have counted, but Jerome Williams was the master of missing layups during his two years for the Hoyas and this was the worst.

I was there. Just a very, very lucky shot from Allen, off balance and well guarded. The non call was at the other end on Jerome's putback after AI's miss.

Page was on fire and we could have run them out of the building. But Thompson started decided to run clock. Killed our aggressiveness. That's what gave them the title.

tgo is right!
The bright side: It's been a long time coming, but maybe we can start a new era of domination against Uconn next weekend.

The last 5 minutes of that game were torture. But in retrospect, we see that Thompson was really on his last coaching legs at that point. His ill-advised stall job - an acceptable strategy fromthe 2pt era - was a terrible decision in the 3pt game. I think his best coaching was before the three point shot and if wasn't Allen giving the program a major injection, he may have retired even earlier than he did.

Watching those made me miss those old days...while at the time I was only 8, was still watching those games. Victor Page is the man, still miss him and I love that he still was the tourney MVP, even with AI on the team.
RE: The NEW era of domination against UConn. I'm with you for that, unfortunately they arn't as strong as in years past so on paper its not as a good of a game, but you know those games are always great

I'll be there this year. I am so sick of UConn and their beaverball-lovin fans.

I have this image of Roy Hibbert sitting in his dorm room, reading this before heading out for the Pitt game.
As he reads the discussion of The Game That Never Happened, he slowly becomes angrier and angrier, and eventually turns into a blue and gray monster that destroys cars and fire hydrants on his way to the Phone Booth, where he scores 60 and blocks every single Panther shot to ensure that no such travesty will occur on his watch.

Definitely not wise, just a spoiled former member of Iverson Court inspired by JT3 and Jeff Green these las three years. The 1996 Big East Championship loss was the third toughest sporting event I've ever experienced as a fan. I expect the current team will be involved in similar feats of strength and I can't wait to see them prevail.
