Going for 21 consecutive all-star games today. But the streak is in jeopardy if Iverson isn't selected as a non-starter today. Not even North Carolina can match this:
85-86 Ewing 86-87 Floyd 87-88 Ewing 88-89 Ewing 89-90 Ewing 90-91 Ewing 91-92 Ewing/Mutombo 92-93 Ewing 93-94 Ewing/Mourning 94-95 Ewing/Mourning/Mutombo 95-96 Ewing/Mourning/Mutombo 96-97 Ewing/Mourning/Mutombo 97-98 Mutombo 98-99 Lockout 99-00 Iverson/Mourning/Mutombo 00-01 Iverson/Mourning/Mutombo 01-02 Iverson/Mourning/Mutombo 02-03 Iverson 03-04 Iverson 04-05 Iverson 05-06 Iverson 06-07 ?

How does All star voting work when the player switches conferences mid-season? Is his resume judged on his few weeks of western conference games or do his eastern conference (i.e. JV league) stats count towards inclusion on the western conference team?

Who's next after AI? AI has only a few more years left as an all-star, and as much as I like Green and Roy, I don't see them as NBA all-stars in time to keep the streak going.

Jeff Green is going to surprise a lot of people when he gets into NBA--don't sell him short. He's got every skill imaginable and he's a legit 6'9--he can take you off dribble, pass, post, shoot. Roy's going to be a good NBA player--but dont' see as bright of a future for him as Jeff at next level.

Of all of the players currently on roster, currently signed, and currently verbally committed, I think Wright has the best chance. Not that he'll necessarily be able to do it, but from what I've seen I think his game will translate best to the NBA and he's certainly dominant to this point in his career, so he projects well.
Summers would be next most likely, but it's important not to underestimate just how difficult it is to be an NBA all-star, and realize that once AI finally starts to slow down this thing may be in jeopardy, unfortunately.

Between Wright and Austin, I'd put my money on Austin---but then again, i LOVE having to THINK about that....

Does anyone else have anything close to this in terms of streaks. 25 straight years! that's incredible!
