With all due respect, it has to be something that evolves/develops over time, its not something that one day you decide you want to have and all the sudden it appears. For example, not walking on the seal by the healy entrance...long time in the making...If we had an on campus arena and a seal down there, then you could have something

I agree but let me get this straight, we beat Pitt but don't move ahead of them last and this week they beat WVU and move ahead of them? Agreed it doesn't mean anything but how about some consistency?

www.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/9222188No. 9 West Virginia at No. 15 Georgetown: Back off Mountaineer Kevin Pittsnogle, who tossed a bagel at Pittsburgh on Thursday. Hey, he's a new daddy. Probably not sleeping much. Insomnia could set in with another loss here, considering it would drop West Virginia -- which entered the week alone in first place in the Big East -- into fourth. That would be one smelly diaper. But instead, we've got Pittsnogle and Co. smelling like ... Pick: Roses. Guess we are just going to have to go out and prove the media wrong...AGAIN

Let the record show that this was my question and Lunardi actually answered it...
Eric (Chicago, IL): Hey Joe, If Gtown and GW played today on a neutral court, who wins? Also, are these 2 DC teams, right now, a better pair of teams than NC's top 2 teams (Duke and UNC)?
Joe Lunardi: (3:14 PM ET ) A lot of people would like to see that game, that's for sure. I'd give a slight edge to GW's depth and athleticism, but it's very slight. As for the other question, I'm not biting. Loss at Georgetown notwithstanding, Duke would clearly take a best-of-seven series against all three (including Carolina).
Also in the weekly report card, here what it said: Georgetown coach John Thompson III deserves a lot of credit for the Hoyas' 61-58 comeback victory over Pittsburgh on Sunday.
The Hoyas struggled in the first half, falling behind by 15. Pittsburgh center Aaron Gray was the primary culprit -- he scored 15 points in the first half. So in the second half Thompson switched to a matchup zone on defense; on offense, he used 6-9 forward Jeff Green up top at the point, to draw Gray away from the basket. The moves worked -- Gray went scoreless in the second half, and Georgetown stormed back and scored a big victory.

I'm right there with you on that...the kid, while it sounds like he can play, has a lot of off court issues...lets let Jeff, Roy, PE Jr, Dajuan, and Vernon take care of the front court duties for now...theres always going to be another great forward and certainly ones without all the bagage

John (NYC): Who's better Gtown or GW?
Kieran Darcy: Interesting question. Both teams are playing very well right now. On paper, I'd say GW is a little more talented. But if they faced each other in the Tournament, I'd probably pick GTown -- because they'll be much more battle-tested coming out of the Big East. Would be a fun game to watch though.
I think he may be on something...

Well I heard back from Andrew Glockner....the guy who posts the Power 16 (I'm surprised how fast I heard back actually) and here's what I wrote
Explain to me how Pitt loses twice this week...once to the Hoyas...and Pitt stays in the power 16 and Gtown doesn't get in?
....whoa what was that?!?! Oh yea it was your credibility flying out the window...I usually respect the work you guys do over there, but this is an ABSOLUTE JOKE
And he wrote...
"You're not the first to, um, mention that. Thanks for the email."
Oh really because that clarifies things

I disagree with you that 1 player playing 27 min creates the same depth as 2 players playing 14 and 13 min respectively. If that 1 player turns an ankle or fouls out or has a bad night or doesn't match up defensively, then you'd clearly rather have 2 different people who can give you 2 different looks
