The size differential is really hurting.

It's too bad, because the guy does have some observation/writing talent. But his insecurity and pettiness always get in the way.

Man, I hope our seniors get their degrees this spring. Would help the numbers and reflect well on them as people and the program.

Jon Wallace is one of the best ambassadors for Gtown basketball and University we have ever had. Part of me wants him to get started in law school and become great at something other than basketball, which he surely will, but it's hard to begrudge a 24-year-old his fun.
Imagining AI in Turkey requires some creativity.

Need a good turnout for that game at McD - you know the Twerp fans will show, can't let them dominate our house.

Rather than desire, motor, etc., I would call Greg's issue "concentration." He wants it as much as anyone, but not everyone has the ability to focus intensely for extended periods of time. The issue is, can he develop it and will he impress the team enough so that they give him the chance? We all hope so.
As for Jeff and the Thunder, I'm not concerned. He seems very well regarded by the team and in the league and will land well if he goes elsewhere. OKC is everybody's team of the future at the moment, so it would seem a good situation if he is able to say. But the article Dan posted says that very, very few people are being signed to extensions right now, in large part because the CBA is up in the air.
The article says:
Few worries here.

Sounds terrific - I had to make a hard choice between the practice and a long bike ride on a picture-perfect fall day, hated to choose but went with the latter. Based on what I saw in Kenner, I think Markel has 'future star' written all over him. We'll see but I'm really glad he still looks good. Moses seems to have tremendous upside (which, BTW, is what Mike Brey told a friend of mine and fellow Hoya fan). Great report on Jason and Julian, too.

Nolan Smith of Duke has earned it, good for him (longtime Chris Wright friend, too). Nice guy. Irving is well regarded but unproven, like Monroe coming into Georgetown.

Damn. I was afraid to open HoyaTalk today fearing bad news. And so there is - very bad - but different from what I feared. I hate everything about this. His health comes first, of course.

I hate it when people judge college teams by NBA prospects. Two very different games; lots of great college players don't do well in the pros, and some pros don't do well in college.

I think Chris is a born leader and Austin leads by example. I'm not worried about leadership at all.

Straying slightly off topic, but am I right in thinking Jason is our best guard on defense?

i hope the hoyas do not get to outside shot happy.i think we can go inside to vaughn.i truly believe we would be beter off going inside to vaughn first option.everyone will be expecting us to shoot threes all the time.i think vaughn is going to be a force if we go to him,jt3 said he is up to 260lbs,put on thirty pounds of muscle.and he should be better.i think he can get12pts and 8 rebounds a game.that will open up the threes. we can not just hoist up threes all game . we need to go inside out. go hoyas!!!!!! Are you lichoya's son? LOL!

Chris basically missed his freshman year, was madly inconsistent in his sophomore year, and began to shine, especially late, last year. So it's not surprising to me that ousiders have him a bit down the list. As far as whether he or Walker is better, both players will have a chance to prove it on the court.
WRT Austin, he's getting (and has earned) scads of attention right now. It's hardly time to complain.

Nate is the kind of guy who might make a good coach some day. A real student of the game.

Chris tends to fly under the radar for individual notice, always has at Gtown. Lic is right - Good Chris is as good as anyone. As it happens, last night I njoyed going back and re-watching the win over 'cuse in last year's BE tourney. Chris was phenomenal.
The only thing that has kept him back from more national praise is consistency. If he brings that this year, he can be all-BE first team and even somewhere on the AA teams lists.
