Not according to Jay Williams: insider.espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/blog?name=ncbexperts&id=5579418Big surprise - he has Kyrie Irving at #2. 1. Kalin Lucas, Michigan State 2. Kyrie Irving, Duke 3. Jimmer Fredette, BYU 4. Malcolm Delaney, Virginia Tech 5. Brandon Knight, Kentucky 6. Kemba Walker, Connecticut 7. Kevin Anderson, Richmond 8. Demetri McCamey, Illinois 9. Shelvin Mack, Butler 10. Josh Selby, Kansas

The quality of the list is immedately in question if Kemba Walker comes in at #6. Not saying that Chris has to be in the top 10. Just saying that Kemba Walked is definitely not Top 10. Dude is a brutal PG.

Chris Wright of the Big East Tournament is a top 5 PG in country---and that is what his play will have to be all year for the Hoyas to be at their best.

Look, Chris doesn't deserve to be handed anything. Nor is it important to receive preseason accolades from a guy who lost most of his brain cells wrapping himself around a telephone pole.
I don't doubt Chris' talent and potential for greatness...but he has a lot to prove this season. He has to show leadership, controlled play and the propensity to step up in the clutch. I think he is the best PG in the Big East but I'm expecting a lot from him this season.

I agree both that preseason accolades are b.s. and that Kemba Walker deserves to be anywhere on that list.

Chris will be a top 5 PG, it's his team, Greg went to the next level.

This list is silly. He has got guys on it that have never played in a college game. For every guy hyped out of high school that was supposed to come onto the college level and dominate out the gate, there are a dozen that dont, Abdul Gaddy comes to mind-and he was a McD all american, not to mention the fact that kemba walker has made the cut...this list is trash.

That list is flat out hilarious...Chris is better than every guy on that list other than Kyrie Irving. That's the only guy I'd take over Chris....pure comedy

Hopefully Chris will improve and stay consistent in the areas mentioned above and get his McD AA 3-point contest winning form in his shot. He needs to pick his 3-point shot opportunities, but I like it when he sets up for them instead of trying to hit a crazy shot from the perimeter. This whole package will make him BE first-team.

I was going to put some thought into this and then I saw the list. If Kemba Walker is the best Big East point guard, then we should all be ashamed if the Hoyas do not go 18-0 in conference.

Chris tends to fly under the radar for individual notice, always has at Gtown. Lic is right - Good Chris is as good as anyone. As it happens, last night I njoyed going back and re-watching the win over 'cuse in last year's BE tourney. Chris was phenomenal.
The only thing that has kept him back from more national praise is consistency. If he brings that this year, he can be all-BE first team and even somewhere on the AA teams lists.

He hasn't been a top 10 pg thus far. He's got a shot at being a top 5 pg this year.

For Chris to take it to the next level, he needs a more consistent outside jumper and bring more consistency to his point guard duties. If he makes progress on both these fronts, he should be BE first team along with Freeman.
The key to the season is how much production we get out of the 4 spot.

I think the second big will be by committee. There is no 4's in Thompson's offense , only guards and bigs.

Not surprised that Wright isn't on this list - I don't consider him a PG. Will be interested to see if he's on the top 10 list of shooting guards.
