well in some ways it's better than the coaches poll. In other ways it's worse.
There's still no way UNC should be a top 10 team preseason.

Some odd votes: Someone voted WV 4th, Someone didn't rank Villanova, Someone voted Georgia 12th, Someone voted Uconn 18th, Someone voted colorado 19th, someone voted BYU 9th, someone voted Minnesota 12th, Someone voted UNC 3rd, VT 11th and Texas 10th are pretty screwey to me too.
Also Wofford, Utah st, ODU, NC st, Missouri,Memphis, and Temple all received votes, pretty damn strong OOC schedule.

It's an insane opening game. I love that JT3 does it though - only downside is that if we lose (very possible) we may drop out of the rankings given our tenuous spot in the 20s. So it would stink not to be on the ticker and automatically on the ESPN highlights as a ranked team. Anyway, talk about throwing the kids into the fire. Has to be the hardest opening game for a BCS conference team with serious aspirations this season.

I haven't looked yet but Bum has to be one of the guys voting for Old Dominion. No, but he voted Duke the lowest of any of the pollsters (#3). (The Duke fans will tell you he has really been down on that program of late.) Outside of supporting Gary and/or the Patriot League, I think Feinstein is a bit cynical about all of college basketball.

On paper, this is the most difficult schedule III has put together. May lack the name of a Duke. But the depth of the schedule and it's difficulty is ridiculous.

BYU is good enough to be top 10.
Jimmer Fredette is one of the top five guards in the country, bar none. They also bring back Jackson Emery, and they have a 6-8 guard by the name of Kyle Collinsworth coming who is an NBA talent. The Cougars will definitely be good this season

Polls are worthless, especially now. Let's win each game one at a time starting with ODU and the rest will take of itself.
High hope for my Hoyas!!!

Strangely enough, I grew up and played little league basketball with this Paul Klee. Sent his dad an email to tell him that he needs to do his homework a little better...

I listen to the Tony Kornheiser radio show and he has him on at least once a week. Feinstein's problems with Duke are at high levels - President, AD. Actually I'm not sure what he thinks of Kevin White but I know that he had issues with the guy before him.

It's too bad, because the guy does have some observation/writing talent. But his insecurity and pettiness always get in the way.

The Cougars will definitely be good this season They're good except when they play a team with actual talent. Jimmer can score, and they'll win a bunch of regular season games, but I'll be surprised if they win a tourney game.
