Wow. I did not know that Jake Voskhul was still on an NBA roster.

As for his NBA prospects, I think he will be very surprised because he does not yet have a complete game and fails to recognize it by blaming "the Princeton" for his problems. When did Summers blame the system? Never saw that. Did I miss something?

UNC has 8 McD's AA's on this current team. That's kind of ridiculous. they're getting 4 more next season...

General draft question:
What are the benefits of signing with an agent early in the process? Why not declare for the draft at first without an agent and feel it out? Do agents greatly help you navigate the whole process?

Isn't DeMarcus Cousins the one who wouldn't commit to UAB because of concerns that Mike Davis would leave. How ironic...

(BTW, if I hear the Monroe shouldn't play at the top of the key argument any more without someone acknowledging that Monroe is twice the face up player that he is the point player...) Seriously. I for one felt much better about his opportunity to score by driving around his man rather than posting up. Not sure if the numbers support this, though.

I see lots of booing in Dash's future. I think indifference is the better and more effective response.

Wake v Maryland Who we want: Terps by a hair. Terps lose and they fall back. Terps win and they're in and we get a big win. If I had to choose, I'd go Terps. Simply put, I want BC and Maryland to move ahead of paper tigers Miami and VA Tech definitively. Isn't Maryland taking up bubble space though? Wouldn't it be better for us if they weren't there?

These d-nozzles are the worst announcing pair I've ever heard, and I think this is the 2nd time we've had to put up with them. I was thinking about making a list of the absurd/incorrect statements, but there are way too many. It's definitely amateur hour with these lower profile games.

Post moved into this thread: How we beat UConn ... and lost to so many others?
This year, Thabeet is even better, but we have the great equalizer in Greg Monroe. Greg is not a great low post scorer, but he can face up, and he can beat Thabeet off the dribble to the basket. Plus, Greg's a great passer from the high post. Especially after Roy drilled that three last year and Greg knocked one down in the early going, Thabeet had to be particularly mindful of playing up on our bigs. As a result, we were able to get relatively easy scores for our guards at the rim. That is a game changer agaisnt UConn. Its the same way that both Gonzaga and Michigan almost beat them. By contrast, teams like Cuse and Louisville that have more traditional centers tried to go right at Thabeet and were totally ineffective.
Any ideas as to why Greg hasn't been taking those shots from the high post when the D gives him space? In the UConn game, it did seem to be a difference maker when he made that outside shot because it opened things up inside. Lately it seems he never looks for his shot there. I do remember one game where he missed horribly from outsude. Was that shot at UConn a total fluke and he doesn't have the green light to take that shot? I'm not a basketball expert or anything, but it seems like for him and the offense to be more effective, he needs to take and make some of those shots.

Saw this comment in the chat: [Comment From BDavis] With AO injured, don't be surprised if you see a good deal of Sims. Monroe will be by far the most experienced true big on the floor. How scary is that? --------------------------------- Is Onuaku hurt? What was he referring to?

Hate to admit it, but it's all my fault. I acquired a nice HDTV a day before the Duke game, and it's all been downhill since then. I think the thing is possessed, although the Steelers won the Superbowl when I was watching it.
I'll return it, and revert back to the 20-inch. Things will return to normal when I have to squint to figure out who is on the court.

Dailey makes sense to me.
A question about Sims, though. I love what he brings on offense and seems to have a pretty good nose for blocked shots, but does he have the foot speed to play man-on-man D when he's on the other team's 4? Have we been playing mostly zone when he's out there with Greg? I don't really know, but I was wondering that this could be a reason why he hasn't gotten as much run as we would all like.

GAINESVILLE — — The "Gatorade bath'' is synonymous with championship celebrations. But when University of Florida football coach Urban Meyer was doused with a bucket of the sports drink after the Gators won the national title last week, he technically took a "G bath.''
"G bath"? That just sounds dirty.

Ain't that the goddamn truth. Question to students: has anyone ever seen Dajuan Summers laugh a single time on campus? Seriously. I mean, have you ever seen him skip and frolic in red square with a georgetown sweater tied around this neck, holding hands with teammates and students alike? I bet not. Better get rid of him. My nephew laughs a lot. Maybe we should recruit him.
