Tomorrow night at 8 p.m., The HOYA is hosting an online forum to discuss Georgetown basketball. Panelists include (subject to change): Sports Editor Ryan Travers will pose questions and panelists will respond. But you too, the reader, can also submit questions and offer answers. We’ll plan to go for an hour, but if conversation stays lively, those of us with time to spare can continue. This is a great opportunity to chat with some of those most knowledgeable abut Georgetown hoops -- including some of this board's most frequent posters. Try to drop in if you can.

Why would you have a round table about Georgetown basketball when the team is playing at the same time?
...oh, we're not talking about the women?

That article sounded like reading this board. Nicely done. Looking forward to the forum.

Well, I guess that clears up the Sapp benching.

Well, I guess that clears up the Sapp benching. Indeed. For the record, this is the first time it or the Duke game fiasco have been mentioned in print. This counts as evidence.

The article uses the word "apparently" though, which is a fairly good weasel term that doesn't require any corraboration other than what Barker thinks he observed. I didn't even pick up on Jesse blowing up at Coach before halftime, and I don't know if anyone else did either (didn't see any specific mention of it here). If so, I hope that the benching was sufficient punishment, that they've reconciled, and that he'll be out there ready to prove himself on Saturday. Then again, I've always had mixed emotions about the kind of player who tells his coach, "Put me in, I can do it!" At this point, some inner fire would seem to be an improvement.

Thanks for posting the article. I would call "slide to oblivion" shrill and melodramatic. that aside, I did enjoy the article. St John's is in basketball oblivion- so perhaps are Rutgers and DePaul. We are not.

"Talent isn't the issue. After all, this is the team that pounded Connecticut in its own building to open the Big East season. But Georgetown's postseason future depends upon all the Hoyas - and particularly the two upperclassmen - playing the final month of the season for their teammates, not themselves."
THANK YOU BARKER. nailed it.

Neat idea, but to quote Ron Burgundy, "Milk was a bad idea."
Where Milk = open comments from the peanut gallery immediately posted instead of screened.
EDIT: And good call on tightening up what gets posted. MUCH MUCH better flow.

Liz is in Daytona covering the 500, and her participation was contingent upon all her work being done, so I assume she was busy running down a story.
