Hoyas stumble into the Big East Tourney with back to back losses...
Huskies come out on fire and the Hoyas can't keep up...
Huskies - 81 Hoyas - 69

Unless we run into a team that's totally en fuego, I like our chances against anyone.
Rebound, Rebound, Rebound...
Free Throws, Free Throws, Free Throws...

Buff, I cut down on my predictions 5 games into the winning streak (I think), and will not be able to make another prediction until we lose again. (Superstition) But the Lexington Steele reference is so friggin' hilarious!!!! I dunno, aggy... right now you're tied with StPete for the league lead with three "correct" predictions. With only two games left, he can obviously pass you; Nevada, bubbrubb and HoyaSinceBirth can catch and pass you; not to mention that several with one correct pick can tie you. The title is yours for the taking. Seize your destiny. Eyes on the prize. The 2-3 zone is too much for the Hoyas to handle, and the Orange hold off a late Hoya run. Rony Seikaly - 72 Ronnie Highsmith/Thompson - 63 How can I be near the lead and I always pick against the Hoyas? I bet Helen Mirren(sp) was an absolute BEAST back in the day!!! She's still a QT...

Congrats to MBHoya99, who predicted a final of 61-55, the closest to the actual 61-53 final in today's Pitt game! Only two games left, with aggy and StPete deadlocked at the top with 3 wins. Jim Brown - 59 aggypryd - 72 or Lexington Steele - 59 BuffaloHoya - 72 Hoya. Freakin'. Saxa. EDIT: Sorry, MBHoya. Corrected. Buff, I cut down on my predictions 5 games into the winning streak (I think), and will not be able to make another prediction until we lose again. Ohio State is the worst #1 team in the history of the poll. Their ranking is based solely on potential, IMO.

I'll take it...
Glad to know that our team can play several styles of basketball and still win.
Free Throws, Free Throws, Free Throws...
Rebounds, Rebounds, Rebounds...

I'm picking Jeremiah... 6-8 from the free throw line...8 assists...7 boards...and one forearm shiver to the opposing PG's throat... From now on, please address me as 'Swami'... The forearm shiver would have been a nice bonus.

Not necessarily a trap game, but the way the Bearcats were launching 3's in the previous match-up the Hoyas could get caught looking ahead to Pitt.

Definitely not the most talented team that we've ever had, but the motion of the offense alone makes it a lot better than the bulk of the Hoya squads that I recall.

If Jeff finishes the season strong, and can lead the Hoyas deep in the tourney, then pack your bags, Mr. Green.
Just come back and finish your degree in the summer.

I don't remember a shot like that since I've been a Hoya fan (circa 1982). Historians, please correct me. Has there been another shot from behind halfcourt made by a GU player in the last 25 years? George Butler in late 1995 made an end of regulation 3/4 court shot to send a game with Memphis into overtime, where the Hoyas won. Not quite 3/4 court, but it was deep. When he shot it, you could see Brendan Gaughan throw his hands up in the air to call it good long before it ever touched the bottom of the net.
