Agreed, hit the nail on the head. Rotations/Line-ups need to improve moving forward. Too many times we play a lineup that is hand-cuffed on offense due to its lack of shooters or playmakers. I would also like to see some improvements in team cohesion as I am nervous that perhaps there are chemistry issues within the program. It just doesn't seem like everyone is on the same page. And it is tough to be deficient in that area and build a top program. I pray this is a one-off with Pickett and that there are no further issues for the rest of his time as a Hoya. He is so damn talented that when the light bulb goes off, and it will go off as he's got the requisite work ethic, he will be a dominant college basketball player. Talking BE POY and AA potential.

Yikes. Losing Pickett would be a big big blow.

This is the same Cuse team that was unconscious last weekend from 3 in the second half? Seems like this tends to happen a lot for Georgetown nowadays. I suppose that is proof our defense is dog$hit.

I think Ewing is walking a fine line with this hard approach to discipline. Unless the conduct is egregious, I could give 2 $hits what out kids are doing. This university needs a WINNING program, not the best disciplined team.

Won't come here. If we were good this year then we would have had a legitimate shot. But an NIT team at best is not attractive to a talent like him.

Frustrating because I think this team is really a good squad. I think we could be in the 6-7 range if we play to full potential. Needed to win this one though. Oh well, win the next 4 and go 11-2 OOC. Then we really need to come out of the gates hot in conference. 4-1 through the first 5 (doable) would really put us on the track to start rolling.

I can count double digit wins pretty easily if the team tightens up the defense and TOs (Big IF). Depaul, Xavier, Creighton, Butler X2. None of these teams should really give us fits outside of maybe Creighton.; Providence, Seton Hall, St Johns X1; Marquette and Villanova unknown. Could be the homer in me but I could easily see us going 12-6 in the conference. I just don't know why Ewing won't schedule worth a damn to give us a chance with our OOC schedule.

Screaming out for a wing. Y7 won't be as good as Jessie but hell still be an All BE Center. We need some firepower from the wing.

How many end of game situations is Mosely going to Edited up before he never sees the floor after the 4 minute TO. Maryland, Butler, Cuse last year, Cuse this year. If we shot the ball with 6 seconds left then all it left Cuse was time to rush down and jack a desperation shot. What a stupid ending to the game.

Govan is a stud on offense. I think he's as good a jump shooting big man as you will ever find on this level.

Please please please keep putting the full court press on this guy. Only hole in our roster next year is wing depth.

We really need a wing in this class. Gardner would be perfect.

I would, and think Ewing will, stick Govan and Mourning in the middle of the zone. They can both shoot the J from there, are competent passers, and will draw in both guards so kickouts will be available to shooters. I don't want Pickett or Leblanc in the middle. I would be okay with Malinowski. I think the key is 3 pt shooting, if we hit 10 3s we win this game.

Think he's a definite redshirt candidate. Let Tim I come and play backup minutes to Y7 at the five. I think he has a chance to be a very, very good player when he puts on some weight.

BE was going to be down this year, but I didn't expect by this much. A ton of highly touted freshman are playing like freshman on their respective teams and not enough upperclassmen have taken the needed jump for teams like Creighton, Provy, Xavier.

Gameday! Haven't been this excited for a college hoops game in quite some time. I think to win that we need to shoot the ball well and defend the 3pt line. They don't have anything inside and if we can contain them from bombing away from 3 then I like our chances. If we keep them in the single digits for 3PM then we walk away with a dub.

I think, and hope, through the first two games that most people could see a team that was in a bit of disarray when it came to communicating. I am hoping Ewing tightens the leash with the rotation and that Govan/Pickett/Akinjo all play 30+ minutes. I think that would give a little more cohesion to the team and hopefully allow them to cut down on the stupid turnovers. Illinois looked pretty good against a very meh squad in Evansville, but don't think you can read too much into either that or how mehh we looked ourselves. Good first test and think we got a very winnable draw during this BE/B10 showdown.

hoyasaxa2003, you being tongue in check with the Leblanc comment? He's probably our top defender from Day 1. Question will be can he knock down the open jumper consistently to keep defenses from sagging off. Kid is a monster attacking/finishing around the glass.

Johnson was still in a boot as of last week so I think Leblanc or Mourning starts at the 4. Excited to see the squad, especially the freshman. Will be there in the 200's for the 10th straight season.
