I like how he's always in attack mode. Good size at 6'4''. Most importantly, seems to have good length.
Always thought he was out of the question bc of his Assault affiliation and his love affair with the Terps. Who knows though.
What about Maryland?
“[Maryland assistant] coach [Dalonte] Hill was supposed to come to my game but they had practice that night," Peters said. "But he’s been talking to my AAU coach a lot and they’re going to come see me. “I talk to him all the time. I call him a lot. He’s been telling me about their team and how they’re looking for a guard in the Class of 2013.”
Peters has made no bones about the fact he’d like to be that point guard.
"[Hill] knows that’s my top school and he’s just taking it slow because they haven’t see me play yet,” Peters said.
What is it about Maryland that has Peters dreaming of becoming a Terp?
“I grew up watching them," he said. "I always watched guys like Juan Dixon. Most kids in this area go away for college. Nobody stays local and I’d like to stay."
Peters visited Maryland earlier this season for a game and liked what he saw.
“I liked the atmosphere. I was mostly looking at what it would be like to play there,” he said. “I like the way the coaches coach and I think they’re going to be good.”

Jason worked out for the Nuggets yesterday. Had a good workout. As someone who follows the Nuggets very very closely, we could certainly add some guard depth. There will be a few guards available at 38 and 50 (Machado, Holloway, DJO), but if the Nuggets choose to address depth at the PF in the second round, look for some undrafted guards to get an invite.
"The Nuggets hold the 20th, 38th and 50th overall selections in the June 28 NBA Draft. Clark came away pleased with his sixth workout leading up the draft.
“It went real well,” he said. “It was very competitive – everything that you expect. It has been a very cool experience. It has been a blessing to travel to all these different places.”
Clark, who averaged 14 points, 1.8 assists, and 4.1 rebounds as a senior last season, said he would love to have a chance to be part of the Nuggets organization.
“I have followed the NBA a lot, actually, and this is definitely somewhere that I would love to play in my future,” he said. "I like to get up and down the court, so that’s perfect. I think this would be a perfect fit for me if I had the chance to be here.”

Hell yeah. I'm officially very excited. He's going to be a GREAT addition. As for his recruiting endeavors...we don't have space for these guys! But keep it up anyway. It always works out. MAKE ROOM!

Don't waste your time replying to the thread if you don't want to. Nobody is forcing you to reply. Just keep it moving and only reply to those threads about kids who are worth your time.
How do you define interest? If interest = offer, then nope, no interest. I'm not sure if you're aware, but interest means less than that. Staffs are in contact with tons of kids (for all sports) before they offer them. This interest/contact comes in the form of phone calls, phone calls to their coaches, assistants keeping an eye on them while recruiting their teammates, conversations after games, invitations to take unofficials, etc.
In the final All Met rankings he finished "on the bubble," after his second season of high school basketball due to an injury. Senior teammates Kethan Savage and Arnaud Adala Moto finished on the first and second teams, respectively. He was first team all IAC, along with a bunch of players that would qualify as "on our level" even by your definition. He was also MVP of the Sleepy Thompson Tourney and obviously also made the all tournament team.
I don't mean to go after you Problem of Dog but I started this thread because I was under the impression that the purpose of belonging to an online community with those who share a similar interest is to share information with each other. That's all i'm doing here. I think that this kid is relevant because he's kind of coming out of nowhere and i just wanted to share some detailed information about the kid because I have it. He transferred out of nowhere then sat out a season because of an injury. I've seen him play and I think he's a classic late bloomer that we should, if nothing else, just have on our radar.
Maybe he isn't good enough to play for us, maybe he is. Time will tell

Haha, aye aye Captain!
FYI - that's how a lot of threads on this board have started, including the thread about his teammate Adala Moto. Just sayin.
At any rate, pardon my thread about a local kid at a position of need who could plausibly play at our level.

6'2'' 175 local combo who transferred into Episcopal last year so hasn't really been on the scene. He was the third best player on an Episcopal team that featured Arnaud Adala Moto (Wake Forest) and Kethan Savage (GW). He has great handle and uses it to create space to get to the rim or pull up from midrange. Has great form on his jumpshot and shoots a high percentage from 3. Has offers from American, Columbia, Howard, Holy Cross, UNC Greensboro, and a bunch of other low to mid majors. Could be a late bloomer. Staff hasn't showed any interest but worth keeping an eye on him senior year - especially since he's a local kid. rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Doug-Chappell-138950

As entertaining as this conversation is, I have to point out to you guys that Tim Duncan is a POWER FORWARD. The best POWER FORWARD of all time at that. If you notice, Diaw starts at the 5 for them. And before they picked up Diaw it was Blair/Splitter. The last time Tim Duncan played center was in college. Sorry guys.
To quote an article I read last year "Duncan played power forward next to David Robinson for six whole years as a true power forward. He played next to Nazr Mohammed, Radoslav Nesterovic and Francisco Elson–all of whom are true centers–who started next to Duncan for championships in 2005 and 2007. With the exception of this year and last year, where the likes of “centers” like Matt Bonner, Antonio McDyess and Dejuan Blair have completed the frontline, Duncan has always been a true power forward in the lineup." Blair et al start at center, guard the other center, and play the center position in the zone.
So, having said that, I think he could definitely coexist with Roy. Having said that, No way the Spurs pay him. He'll be a Pacer.

Welcome to the Hilltop Bradley. Hayes is athletic and mobile. Still needs work on his offensive game but it will come. Reminds me a bit of Thomas Robinson from Kansas in the way he moves on the court. Let's hope he develops into a compelte player. He picked the right school for that and at 18 has plenty of time to get his act together. 6'11'' sounds nice doesn't it? Thomas Robinson? Come on man haha

Awesome. Congrats Mr. Hayes, welcome to the hilltop! The board needs to manage expectations though. Unlike Noel, he wont be a contributor next year. I definitely see him developing into a starter and all BE caliber player. Could potentially still grow too as he's only 17. Hopefully this means Mikael moves back to his natural position at the 4. We're real loaded in the frontcourt guys. This frontcourt could be scary good in 2 years.

I'm a 28 year old African american male and I stocked up on the Jordan "Georgetown Basketball - China" gear this summer. In my opinion, very very fresh.

Pollard is a straight up BEAST, and would be one of JT3's biggest gets on the recruiting trail to date. The man is a McDonalds All American, LED his team to state championships, and has a shot at being on Team USA. He could start at A LOT of power 6 programs from day 1. I love Nate, but whether Pollard starts at the 3, the 4, or the 7 he will be in our starting lineup. Plain and simple. He could be the most talented player on our entire roster. Crack kills guys, crack kills.

Agreed Ottomatic. I remember watching him in high school. Every time I watch him I get the sense he's holding back a little. Granted, in high school he had much more freedom, but he played with swag and a sense of creativity. Hope we see that Markel next season.

Lots of open outside shots in our system. We lost 2 of only 3 guys on our team who shot above 35% from outside last year. In my opinion, once the ball gets past halfcourt a true pg doesnt matter much in our offense. Need shooters. Hope we go after him hard.
