Good luck to Hollis. Good player for us. He will definitely get some looks in the second round, and I hope someone takes a shot on him. He is already a high level NBA level shooter of the catch and he can keep getting better with the dribble. And he will give you a good effort on defense and on the boards.
I'm excited to see what Jabril and Whittington can do taking some of those minutes and shots.

Is it true he's graduating? If so, then there's really not a bad word you can say about him (other than to worry that he's taking a huge risk that may not pay off).

I don't understand the logic here. He's at best a late second rounder and I haven't seen him on any mock draft lists. I guess he's taking his chances since he's graduating and can make money overseas if he doesn't get picked, but don't you think an extra year at Georgetown gets you on the NBA radar next year better than playing for a random international team?

I figure he would leave this year after declaring last year. Not really NBA ready but half the guys that go early aren't ready either. I wish Hollis the best of luck!

Just not realistic to expect a kid who is graduating to play out his eligibility. There's money to be made, either in the NBA or Europe. Hollis represented the university well. While I'm sad to see him go, I hope his future is bright.

Best of luck to Hollis. Can totally understand the desire to pursue a new opportunity with a degree (likely?) in hand.
Unfortunate that the roster didn't shake out in his first 2 years to have him play a natural position and selfishly hoped the late run this year at SG would entice him to return next year. Oh well, good luck to him.

Best of luck to Hollis! I really hope someone gives him a shot, because I think he's a good long-term investment for a team.
Hollis' career is a bit interesting. He left Loyola High School where he grew into a Top 25 recruit for a California Southern Section championship team to go to De La Salle, where he thought he'd get better coaching and preparation for school (moving from his mother's house to his father's to do so, IIRC). When his dad got moved to Georgia, I believe, for work, he then got his GED and enrolled a semester early at Georgetown, but didn't play at all that spring. After his sophomore year, having been a bench player, he declared for the draft to evaluate his prospects and get scout reports and evaluations, even though he wasn't on any draft radar. Now, after his junior year (though he will be graduating), he declares permanently for the draft despite being projected as a late 2nd round to undrafted free agent. The kid clearly has a lot of confidence in his ability and wants to go places. He seems to be fairly level-headed, intelligent, and a good kid, by all reports. But that is an interesting career path for someone who has not been considered a slam dunk prospect.
Regardless, best of luck, Hollis! I would love to see him as a shooter off the bench for my Laker Purple & Gold next year. Imagine Ramon Sessions and Kobe Bryant setting Hollis up in the corner for a 3! Swish!

Hollis will play somewhere, for money, next year. That, obviously, is what he wants to do. Good luck, Hollis. Hope to see you in the League!

Good luck, Hollis. Improve your ball handling, and you'll have a career in the NBA. If guys like Novak can make it, you can too.

With another year at Georgetown, he'd have to take Grad school classes because the kid is likely graduating. I can completely understand not wanting to do that. Plus he'll get paid to play basketball somewhere next year. I don't think staying at Georgetown is going to help his stock any. Everyone was saying the same thing last year and while Hollis did improve in certain areas, it didn't in fact help his draft stock. Without a lockout this year, he'll have several more opportunities to impress and hope to make a roster.

Good luck Hollis! Thanks for your contribution to Georgetown -- you were an outstanding representative of the University.
I bet he gets selected in the second round of the draft.
Paging Greg Whittington, paging Greg Whittington. Greg Whittington to the starter's table. Practice your dribbling and shooting son!

Is the argument here that Hollis will not get better at Georgetown because our system limits his NBA growth? If not our system limiting him will he not get as many hours to work on his game in the college setting?? I know its not because hollis is some monster player that cant be contained in the college game??!!!! Can someone please objectively tell me why hollis woudlnt want to work on his game with the hops of actually being a first round pick??!! This is baffeling.
