Hey, let's not jump down Shav's throat too quickly. Maybe there's a team out there that needs a first-rate human victory trophy.

I can appreciate that there might not be a lot to do in Storrs over the summer, and that the devil makes work for idle hands, but stealing laptops? How bored do you have to be?
If this turns out to be true, I wouldn't worry for Williams - I'm sure this just only enhances his value in the eyes of the Trailblazers.

Okay, that dog can do that better than I can. I should just go and put myself out of my misery right now....

I hope no one overhears anyone on the team talking about "the clear" or "the cream."

I'd be surprised if he kept the number in college simply because #33 at GU has mostly been worn by bigs over the last 20 years (Ewing, White, Mourning).Uh, thanks 'Professor.' As an aside, I wore #33 at GU, and I certainly wouldn't be described as big. Well, not vertically, anyway.

Get a look at the newest Hoya. Looks good with that number, although I could do without the color...

Awesome news! Welcome to the Hilltop, DeJuan! Anyone know who we beat out for his services? Not that it really matters, but if the Terps offered and didn't get him, that would be the icing on the cake.

I trust that 'probably' discussed above means only that Bowman is leaving the door cracked about 5% just in case some NBA team comes calling after the Chicago camp. Which seems unlikely, but if there are enough guys who fail to shine and/or pull their names out of the hat, it could be possible.

I thought he was rumored to be heading to GW. Guess he didn't want to move too far away, one way or the other.
Regardless of where he ends up, I wish him well in his career. Unless he ends up playing the Hoyas at some point down the road, of course.

I'm a bit disappointed to see these two guys go, since they were so early in their development. That said, it's understandable given that neither was recruited by JTIII, and Guibunda couldn't seem to find his way off the end of the bench with a map and a tow-rope. As for Ray, I felt like he often was one of the only guards who could keep up with the faster guards in the Big East. Obviously, I'm a bit excited to see who JTIII replaces them with, but at this point, I'm still not entirely convinced that the replacements will necessarily be a step up.
In any event, best of luck to them. Now, someone find elvado and bring him to this thread, because I feel the need for at least one person to express the "They are dead to me now" sentiment. Even if only for the sake of appearances.

The pic is apparently gone now. How disappointing. You didn't save a copy on your hard-drive, did you?

Was there a lot of speculation during his recruitment that he might go anyway? I don't recall any, but that's not to say it wasn't hovering there in the background. Either way, bad day for the geniuses who write for the Boneyard and the Huskies in general; I can't help but wonder about the commitment and character of a kid who tells people exactly what he thinks they want to hear while pursuing a separate agenda.

From local new website: www.wral.com/sports/4487105/detail.htmlCan't help but think that Coach K pushed Shav to do this to spare his program some embarrasment and make more PT for McRoberts. Let's not overlook the fact that I beat NRC900 to the punch by 45 seconds!

In what has got to be one of the funniest decisions ever, Dook's long-time human victory cigar Shavlik Randolph has decided after his junior season that he's done warming the benches at Cameron, and it's time to take his splinter-collecting show to bigger crowds in the NBA.
Unless he's declaring for the 2002 draft retroactively, I don't think this makes any sense. Except for the part about Coach K 'backing him 100%.' THAT I totally believe.
