Gammo _________ No props to me -- JA Adande is an excellent writer and captured the story in a compelling manner. And, not too tough a find . . . it was the lead story in my hometown newspaper's Sports section. We miss you out here Gammo.

It really is great watching the playoffs and seeing so many of our brethren excel.

Its real what JT2 says about Mourning:
Even now, when he's out on the floor playing, I've got my heart in my mouth. Every time he falls, something could happen.[/b]
I remember Mourning's first game back after discovering he had the kidney illness. The Heat were playing the Sixers on TNT and JT2 was commentating the game. The game started with the jump ball, and Kevin Harlan said something about Mourning's first game back this season, and JT2 said with anxiety,"I'm so nervous". You could really here the concern in his voice.

Just a few days earlier Adande wrote a wonderful column on Iverson as well. Should be no surprise considering that Adande had the Georgetown beat for the Washington Post during the two seasons Iverson played for the Hoyas. After that stint he moved on to the LA Times but I remained a fan of his and tried to keep up with his work. With the Lakers out of the post season for the first time since his arrival I guess he has time on his hands to roam the country and write about other teams and players.
For those of you who want to read the Iverson article go to the Pro Sports forums and check out the Sixers-Pistons thread. Halfway through you wil come across a link I set up.
