Lots of people have seen him in person AND think he will be a very good college basketball player. Honestly, you're in the clear minority on this one RDF. Doesn't mean you're wrong, of course. But we'll just have to wait and see. Lot of people who are talking about him and like him also are watching other games, come over and get the stat sheets and think he's played well too. Unless you attend these events, you have no idea how political things can be. Semaj Christon didn't get ranked because "We never saw him play" and a kid named Fred Van Fleet who is a top 5 PG prospect--if not higher in class of '12 isn't ranked because they haven't seen him play--yet I watched Van Fleet dominate Kevin Yogi Ferrell who many have ranked as a top 25 prospect and Ferrell didn't belong on same court with Van Fleet--who is committed to Wichita State. Van Fleet is a 6'3 PG who is quick, athletic, and physical. Played with nobodies and led his team to championship in AAU event. You can't hide talent and DSR can be a good college guard, but will he be a good college guard on a winning team? Does he bring what Georgetown needs to address in their backcourt? FIT is as important as anything and gurus like DSR for Georgetown because he's slow footed, unathletic, and fits the "mold" of Hoya guards/teams under III--which is their word for "boring, slow paced teams who can't run". This is far from the truth--but that's how they see Georgetown program and why they "love the fit" for him. So if you take what Georgetown needs to improve and everything gurus say--then see the problem? Ask KGHoya how these "gurus" are when it comes to evaluating players--he got firsthand look at Peach Jam and he can tell you how political and lazy some of these guys are.

So...you HAD heard of him 3 hours ago? Been hanging out in the Upper Peninsula scouting future dunk contest entrants? A lot of people had heard of him--he did sign with Michigan State.

Not sure why everyone is down on this kid. I've seen the highlights myself, and he looks quite impressive. Top 50 player who is playing at Oak Hill with high level comp. Can stroke the ball and has a good handle. Not to mention that he'd most likely get playing time on this year's team if he were here... Because many have seen him play in person. If you don't want to believe what we're saying--understand but if you haven't seen him in person--and watch highlights (remember they are called highlights for a reason) you'll think every player in America is an AA. Here's a question for those who want to see Hoyas get an elite PG but dont' understand why they can't land any. If you need to put players in the NBA to help your cause, how would getting a 6'1-6'2 slow footed, unathletic guard help that cause? A fat Austin Freeman is a superior athlete to an well conditioned Smith Rivera. Xavier recruited over him with Semaj Christon and Myles Davis who many here thought weren't good enough for Georgetown and Smith Rivera's family crossed XU off the list due to them committing. Competition bothers him? Georgetown is going to sign a PG in '13, so will he like that? Why would he play over any 2G on the roster or who they are recruiting?

Why is Markel Starks even in this discussion? This kid isn't a PG at all. Georgetown needs to wake up and spend some money/time evaluating legitimate PG's-can see why they liked Kyle at the spot--despite not being athletic/quick, but they need to get a legit, dominant playmaker/ballhandler and someone who has explosive quickness which translates to both ends. That means Rysheed Jordan types--Semaj Christon types.
I like Anderson alright-but he's a tweener (III has a thing for 6'3-6'4 guys for some reason dating back to Princeton) and fits more as a 2G--Izzo likes that Shannon Brown, Mo Ager, Chris Allen, type of lineup--but he's got a physical team who will defend and Georgetown has a finesse team who doesn't get after it on defense. Trying to change that, fine but Trawick and Bowen already fit the bill. I'd take Bowen as a RS FR over Anderson going off how III operates his program.
If III wants to get an elite guard--he's got to not only trust the player to control the game and give him the ball, he's also going to have to accept fact that these guys are creative and don't need as much structure, and adapt to their abilities.

When a guy has a crap hand and is bluffing and you believe he's got a full house, don't be stunned when he ends up winning the hand.

I vote Alleninxis to be a Hoya Grad Assistant--he gets more responses from recruits then some of the people employed do.
Great job and thanks for the info!

More great leadership from the Marinatto "Puppet". This guy needs to be beaten beyond recognition and removed ASAP. The meeting at Georgetown sounds like it was about as effective as Bill Shapland on a diet, and just in time for the AD and Head Coach to be begging for big money donations to "survive".
RIP

That's what the AyoTROLLah of Rock'N'Rolla not to mention windsurfing, Frolf, and '80's power ballads said about Andre Drummond, when he wasn't making up lies about sources regarding Kyle Anderson.

Really surprised by that. If that is the case though I think he takes it. Unless Duke were to offer as well. Williams #1 choice for PG chose Wisconsin--Bronson Koenig, so the offer to Britt makes sense and will be happy when he takes it--so III will move onto other players.

MNF is dead anyways--the football public views the Sunday Night game as "the big game" and MNF is amateur hour with horse**** announcers, and anticlimatic games.

If you possess NBA talent--you will get selected. If you are a borderline prospect who works hard--you'll get a chance. If you choose to eat junkfood, goof off, and play on 1 end--you'll have to prove you're serious about basketball. Doesn't mean you can't make it--just means you have to work harder and earn it.

No disrespect, but we had two players that did not hardly play a lick of defense during the tenure and it showed in the end becuase the draft experts noticed this too and neither ended up on the draft list or undrafted list...Jason takes the bum rap for them? Jason should be on the Wooden list respect is respect and it's well earned. He's been there 4 years and overall has done a terrific job for our Hoyas! The Hoyas had a winning record last season! Having a "winning record" and being nominated for an award for the Best Player in CBB are two different things. If your team wins--as in conference championships---you'll get rewarded--look at Jeff Green, Roy, etc......that's my point. Who cares about preseason hype--when the players/teams can settle it on the court. Play well and win. People will notice. You don't win awards based on what you did last year or in the past--good or bad. Think anyone had Kemba Walker being what he was last year prior to the season? No---so that's the point. As for Clark--guarding the opposing team's best player and effectively guarding someone are 2 different things and weren't you the same guy who went off on me for pointing out how bad Freeman/Others played defense last year and now you want to jump on the bandwagon. To say it after the fact shows how little you know-but nice to see your disposition hasn't changed a bit. ;D

Again--Warren has family in DC and has visited several times--so he has legit interest and while it's going to be a hard sell, it's part of recruiting big time players--you have to win battles head to head with great programs and NC State--who is beneath what Georgetown is in terms of current status.

Georgetown is smart to try and get involved--that city has more talent then most states do in the next 4-5 classes.

Do you know who is planning on attending this year? Troy Williams Tyler Ennis Isaiah Briscoe Brandon Bolden Williams and Bolden are confirmed. NJ Duo are leaning that way right now.

Think we all agree about the deficiencies Georgetown has against other schools, but have to say--when you are in survival mode--time to adapt and find a way to eliminate the self induced negative aspects in recruiting--which means III has to change how Hoyas play this year. He can no longer rest on the conference to attract players on its own, time to make his team more attractive to players who view it as a slower/less exciting style of play. We know that it's not that way as fans but as many have said who follow recruiting and even if you don't but have teenagers-perception is stronger to them then reality.

After each remaining team gets to beat him up. You have to admit that his haircut is really epic. ;D true and fitting of a guy who is going to be at the helm when this league dies it's painful death. When you are trying to save your league and the answer is Air Force, Navy, Temple, UCF, you aren't saving anything-you are just making your death more painful instead of quick end. Either way--the step down from Gavitt/Tranghese to this doofus is proof the conference is getting what they deserved--but hey--he did make certain that Seton Hall-Rutgers rivalry was maintained while Hoyas-Cuse "afterthought" was put in it's place.

Happy for Lions fans and they have a fun team to watch--but not buying they are contenders at all. For some reason the media/country has this attitude that if you beat the Dallas Cowboys, you are "legit". Why? Since the year 2000, Dallas is 90-90 with 1 playoff win. What I've seen from Detroit is they played like crap against 2 average/poor teams on the road (Minnesota being the poor, Dallas the average) and only thing you can admire is they cameback to win. Dallas of course was missing their #1 WR and still put up 30 pts and Romo did what Romo does--give away a game. Vikings have done this 4 weeks in a row. If you want to say that Lions deserve good things, etc....I'm on board fully but the football they've shown the past 2 weeks is more Denver Broncos--McDaniels Year 1 like.
LMAO at the Ronnie Brown play in Eagles game and Andy Reid actually challenging that. WTF? Why would you try to throw a lateral at the 1 yd line? Reid says it was a forward pass? Huh? What possesses a player to even consider putting the ball out so careless? Then again, you have every player on planet stretching the ball out to get an extra half yard even if they are 9 yds short of a 1st down or endzone, so why should I be surprised??
Hope Pats use Steven Ridley more and loved seeing Danny Woodhead put properly in his place as a mascot and not as a reliable running option. There is a reason this guy wasn't drafted and was cut several times. Pats defense--YUCK.
Baltimore's ass kicking after the beatdown Raiders put on Jets physically was something to see. Jets have an awful front 7, a poor OL, no speed at WR, and no gamebreakers at RB, but they are a contender based on what they did the past 2 years? Rex Ryan can sell all he wants but these guys are not a championship team. Joe Namath should guarantee the Jets won't be in AFC Title game this year and he'll be right again!
Early predictions on who gets Andrew Luck? He's best chance Zygi has of getting a new stadium, so hope for Queen fans is going 0-16, 1-15 and looking at schedule they can do it. Their best chance at a win is this week at home against Arizona who keeps teams in games, so that could be the win to avoid winless season and still be in prime Luck position.
