Why the internet is awesome: The first (and only) comment beneath the article is from SpartansRule, who calls Anderson a "Traitor". Classy.

Why the internet is awesome: The first (and only) comment beneath the article is from SpartansRule, who calls Anderson a "Traitor". Classy. From the story: However, Anderson's mother died in the spring and the school put out a statement that he was withdrawing from school back in August.
"The last two years have been a very rough time for me as I’ve had to deal with some personal tragedies, including the sickness and death of my mother," Anderson said in the statement. "I’ve been in counseling as I attempt to cope with these issues, and I plan to undergo further counseling. I want to get all my personal issues in order before moving on to the next stage of my life." Sounds like a traitor to me.

Do we have a spot open for this season, if he were to join in January?

They better make room for this kid. He would start at PG day 1

A bigger (not as quick though) Devin Harris. Kid is a star! Even like him more than Semaj.

he better get it. The schools that are looking at him outside of Nova are rather unimpressive. Must land this kid. He is a 3 year starter at PG. Do we have a spot open for this season, if he were to join in January? yes we have an open scholarship.

I've never seen the kid play but why is everyone so high on him? Is it just because he's a new name? Becuase Izzo signed him?
Scout and ESPN both have him as a 3 star SG. Both have him outside the top 100. ESPN has him as the #42 SG and Scout has him at #36. Neither say anything about him playing PG. So why all the love for him as opposed to guys like DSR? Not saying he wouldn't be good since I've never seen him play but I don't understand it based off the rankings.

Interesting. Could be eligible in January.
Izzo has a good eye for talent and you know he recruits aggressive defensive players. This guy is worth a look.

Bronxitos does not care where he is ranked. This fluckin kid is nice. I trust my eyes on player evaluation and this kid is all that and then some (short dark and handsome...no). Bronxitos is in a tizzy thinking about adding a 6'4 uber athletic point to this squad. I've never seen the kid play but why is everyone so high on him? Is it just because he's a new name? Someone throw a bucket of cold water on Bronx. He saw one too many dunk contest videos.
Point is we do have a need in the backcourt over the next couple years and this kid is definitely worth evaluating to see if he can help. Rivals had him as 95th in the class, others had him just outside the top 100, which is pretty good for a guy from pretty much the middle of nowhere (check the map for Sutton's Bay, MI).
That said, we already have 5 scholarship players in the class of 2011 and there is something to be said for some measure of balance.

I cant be stopped. This kid is a player. Know them when I see them. I saw the dunk contest after I made my determination. Kid is my kind of player. Long, athletic and skilled. Do you really think Starky Love can beat this kid out after a full year in the system?

As excited as I was to read about this kid and see some of his highlights, this points out our dilemma the most. Not only do we have 5 players in that class but we have a RS Bowen that will graduate with the class and if Moses is able to get a RS for this year, that will be 7...7!! players graduating in 2015.

Bronxitos is right....he's an athlete...not sure about pg, but we need kids like this...we had nobody in the backcourt last year with that kind of bounce

A junior Markel would hand this kid his ass on a platter. Come on. Virtually every play on his highlights feature him launching himself at the rim and getting the bucket because the other guys can't jump. But unless you're DWade that shot ain't there in college very often. It's a blocked shot or a charge more often than not. Potential is there, but he will need to learn to shoot first and foremost. Supposedly that's a work in progress.
