I agree that having a ton of players in the same class is not great for balance, but I think recent history shows that the odds of all of these guys graduating in the same class year is pretty low. I hope everybody graduates from Georgetown, but I doubt that'll ultimately happen.

You must be Starky Love's pops? In that case hello Mr. Starks. A junior Markel would hand this kid his ass on a platter. Come on. Virtually every play on his highlights feature him launching himself at the rim and getting the bucket because the other guys can't jump. But unless you're DWade that shot ain't there in college very often. It's a blocked shot or a charge more often than not. Potential is there, but he will need to learn to shoot first and foremost. Supposedly that's a work in progress.

I dont worry about that. bottom line, u have a chance to land a dude like this you have to take it. It's rare that this kind of kid comes on the market that late in the game

Let them fight it out on the court and the weaker players will transfer.

Daytona talking bball and player evals with these bums is sickening. It does not take long to recognize sunshine. This kid is better than Bowen and Starky Love right now. I dont worry about that. bottom line, u have a chance to land a dude like this you have to take it. It's rare that this kind of kid comes on the market that late in the game

Watching his highlights he does seem like he has a decent 3pt shot, handle and court vision.

Nice player and fantastic athlete but has too very real and obvious flaws: 1.) can't dribble with his off-hand, goes left every time and is ineffective when defended that way, and 2.) poor perimeter shooter.
He's more of a small forward than a point guard.

He is much more athletic than Kyle that is for sure. Better, not ready to say that yet. This kid is a must have. He fits everything that we should be striving for. Kid reminds Bronxitos of 3 kids from the past...Damon Flint, Devin Harris and Shannon Brown. JT3 must learn stack your team! It will make you a much better coach.

Love that the kid is 6'4". He would make his very long at the 1, 2, and 3. Seems to have nice form on his shot. Liked the spin move down the lane. Could be a step slow but he obviously can finish with authority when he's got a step on his defender.

Why is Markel Starks even in this discussion? This kid isn't a PG at all. Georgetown needs to wake up and spend some money/time evaluating legitimate PG's-can see why they liked Kyle at the spot--despite not being athletic/quick, but they need to get a legit, dominant playmaker/ballhandler and someone who has explosive quickness which translates to both ends. That means Rysheed Jordan types--Semaj Christon types.
I like Anderson alright-but he's a tweener (III has a thing for 6'3-6'4 guys for some reason dating back to Princeton) and fits more as a 2G--Izzo likes that Shannon Brown, Mo Ager, Chris Allen, type of lineup--but he's got a physical team who will defend and Georgetown has a finesse team who doesn't get after it on defense. Trying to change that, fine but Trawick and Bowen already fit the bill. I'd take Bowen as a RS FR over Anderson going off how III operates his program.
If III wants to get an elite guard--he's got to not only trust the player to control the game and give him the ball, he's also going to have to accept fact that these guys are creative and don't need as much structure, and adapt to their abilities.

You have to understand that the league that his high school plays in is worse than the one that Jerelle Benimon dominated in Virginia. Northern Michigan is not exactly a basketball hotbed. Watch his highlights with a grain of salt.
I'm not saying he isn't nice, or isn't tough, or isn't athletic, but he's not a savior.

That said, we already have 5 scholarship players in the class of 2011 and there is something to be said for some measure of balance. As excited as I was to read about this kid and see some of his highlights, this points out our dilemma the most. Not only do we have 5 players in that class but we have a RS Bowen that will graduate with the class and if Moses is able to get a RS for this year, that will be 7...7!! players graduating in 2015. I'll take the under on that many kids still being around.

But I saw him put a 5'9'' farm boy on a poster! You can't teach that!
This thread is off to an explosive start. Two pages on a kid no one had ever heard of as of three hours ago.

Benimon could play in the park in Alberta with a bunch of drunk Native Americans and Bronxitos would still see that he is not a big time talent. You have to understand that the league that his high school plays in is worse than the one that Jerelle Benimon dominated in Virginia. Northern Michigan is not exactly a basketball hotbed.
