It may have been earlier - around the first media timeout, which would be after 16:00 -- probably between 14 and 16? It was right as they were coming back from commercial, I believe. 15.40 minute mark they have the big east headlines graphic Cuts to jumbotron with a blonde girl with a G Tshirt on. then, cuts to seats right against the wall with someone holding a baby, muscular guy with dark red hair (maybe, can't tell) on baby's left, a guy with glasses and dark hair on baby's right, and then girl with glasses and dark hair and another girl behind the baby. You really can't see the person holding the baby as the baby's arm is blocking her off. (only can see forehead) then there's another girl peaking behind the Georgetown Geico banner down a row. This goes on for 3-4 seconds. I think that might be it. Tables?

Bando, I am feeding off your defensive and zealous rage. I am reminded of my other beloved message board for the Mets, which also goes nuts and turns on itself after every bad loss. I log onto Hoyatalk, because I take solace in that other people share my frustration and disappointment, and I would like to say that I love each and every one of you. Oh, I'm a Mets fan too.

Road trips? It's more or less a given we won't host a home game at MCI. We hosted one at McDonough a few years back (Cal State-Fullerton), but I'm not sure the odds of that happening again are high. We hosted one at Verizon a few years back against BU, I think in JTIII's first season.

I think the reason Monroe was in and out at the end was because he was being overpowered at the defensive end. The notion that he really needs to bulk up in the offseason never looked more true than when he got that rebound ripped away from him with about a minute left. Exactamundo. I know some people think that Monroe was given to us up on Sinai, but he got beat a lot on D today. Disagree with JTIII's sub patterns all you want, but he's certainly not doing them arbitrarily.

i'm beginning to think that thompson stuck a fork in it long before some of us are willing to admit. if I knew jt3 was going to pull some of the stuff he pulled tonight...I would have never flown 3000 miles from LA for the game. i'm beginning to think he is simply coaching for next year. first, he sits freeman. interesting time to teach a kid a lesson. next, he's got watted, nikita, vaughn, and sims playing together for extended periods of the game. he certainly didn't play that line up last game in philli. finally, he sits monroe for the last defensive stand leading to an offensive board and dunk. all great lessons....but terrible timing, unless he's already thrown in the towel and is coaching for next season. How many times does someone have to tell you that Freeman was injured before you get it through your thick skull?

Hey I was born in November 2008 and this is my first season watching Georgetown basketball. Yes I am 4 months old. I watched tonight's game and the announcers kept on mentioning Jeff Green, Roy Hibbert and Jonathan Wallace. He said they went to the Final Four as juniors. Can anyone tell me what they did as freshman? Thanks. I am sure when those superstars were freshman they probably won a National Championship. Or at least progressed really far into the NCAA Tournament. I mean JT3 runs such a simple offense, any team consisting of players running it for probably the first time in their lives must be unstoppable. See, I don't hate all new posters.

Bando, if you think I'm the only one that feels this way, you are sorely mistaken. The foundation of success that this program has been built on over the course of four years is getting ripped down in less than one. Just think, over the course of this year, our homecourt advantage is gone, we lose HORRENDOUS games on the road (SHU, SJU, and sorry, Cincy), have been completely out-recruited in our backyard, and have other coaches bad-mouth our system, we lost key committed recruits, and have been completely out coached RETPEATEDLY. There won't be 9k there on Saturday to send Jessie Sapp away. I feel badly for him for that. But without major changes, this program is on the brink, in a big way. What's going to be different about next year? Is Monroe going to start taking 2 foot shots while the clock is running down or continue to pass it? Are we going to rebound? Are we going to make free throws in crunch time? I'm even getting more riled up while typing this. Thank God it's almost golf season. OSTHOYA Yes, of course, one mediocre season will doom the program for eternity. You're obviously the most rational human being on the planet. Go cheer for someone else.

I think that's true to an extent. However, there's still time for a lot of these players to develop. Maybe not into superstars, but into competent role players that help us win. I personally think Nikita and Vaughn are salvageable, and even Wattad as a defensive specialist.

Deriding someone for not having more posts actually makes you lamer. Or is it 'more lame'? Again, you are missing the point. It's low post count coupled with hyperbolic denunciations of the team, coach, and offensive system. Keep knocking down those strawmen!

Same mistakes over and over and over...... Not getting any better.... defintely getting worse..... When this season ends and it will be very soon are we going to think all of a sudden because these players are no longer freshman or sophomores they won't make the same mistakes.... I guess playing in the Kenner League where they have mostly played the last few summers will make them show the same progress they have made this year.... Come on and stop being delusional..... Delusional? You're bloviating about the demise of the program forever two years after a Final Four appearance. You, sir, are out of your Editeding mind.

This will likely kill the recruiting. If you were a stellar player would you want to be trapped into an Ivy League offense and an Ivy League mentality? A c-minus to the coaches for'09. You are a miserable human being. Seconded.

Ha.... Posters who use the single digit poster excuse when their are clearly issues with the team and its coaching not getting players to improve is clearly the most funny thing.... I'm sorry, never posting here over the entire season, then chiming with apoplectic spittle is clearly trollish behavior. Get your lulz elsewhere, foul demon.

By a basketball game, at least. This might be my last post ever because I'm tired of caring so much for a team that is basically inept. That's the only way to put it. Time to stop with the "they're young" excuse. So is Kansas. They have played almost 30 games and they do the same stuff every game. The rebounding is something that I'm ripped on every day by every fan I know who watches our games. ACC fans, Big East fans, SEC fans, all of them comment on how bad we are. And away from the fact that per usual, we step out of bounds randomly 3-4 TIME A FREAKIN GAME, we can't rebound, we can't make a stop when it matters...you know what kills me the most? JT III lost this game. And it isn't the first time he's done it this year. We are up by 15 and he completely took the air out of the ball. We were absolutely abusing them and their pathetic defense. And then we stopped. Kaput. No energy. Bad passes, bad shots, no rebounds, per usual. Honestly, when was the last time we got a clean rebound in this game? 10 minutes left? Think about it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is stuff of Esherickian proportions. We just don't improve. And God is next year going to be bad. I'm just glad I've decided to save the money next year and not be an out of town season ticket holder. Not worth it to me. I can't believe that for somebody that loves this team so much, lives and dies with this team....this was my final straw. I get myself worked up like a complete and utter moron when these guys are playing, and for what reason? None. OSTHOYA Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

I mean, this goes back to what FLHoya, Barker, and others have been saying about this season: youth is our biggest problem. A more experienced Greg is able to distinguish when he should shoot and when the pass is the better idea.

As wrong as the ref was there, can we not be like every other team's fans and blame the refs? The refs didn't blow a 16 point lead against a team that didn't score a FG for the first 14 minutes of the 2nd half.

The key stat is that St. John's didn't score a field goal for the first 14 minutes of the second half, yet we gave up a 15 point lead regardless. Terrible, terrible game. Barring a run to Friday, we're NIT bound.
