to scrap the "Princeton offense"? Either everyone has caught up to this offense, or the players are wrong.

What does the Princeton offense have to do with rebounding?

Nothing good about that. Bad coaching, bad foul shooting, bad post play and bad officiating. They have not improved offensively. Good Defense but you have to ball in the hole.

Why does everyone always dismiss this outright? We clearly have more talent than this team has showed -- why isn't a valid option?
Personally I think that everyone plays a similar Off against a zone, but we are so stagnant that it bears debate.

Nice one Madgesdiq - tell me the funny part about the deleting account again. The point is, you're upset, I'm upset, you feel like i'm invading one of the only things you got going (this msg board), so you lash out. Try responding to my question.

Look, obviously a single painful loss --caused by a lot of factors-- is no grounds to contemplate switching our supposed offensive system. With that said, I think we should acknowledge that it is at least a reasonable conversation to have after the season ends.

The reason why the Princeton offense should not be scrapped:
When you have a team of players that have experience in it, and I emphasize a TEAM of players, then it is damn near unstoppable. It makes the players better in the long run and it wears teams out. Yes, you will lose games and you will go nuts when you are down 5 with two minutes to play and they run it, BUT it will win you so many more. Watch some of the 05-06 tape toward the end of the season to see what it starts to look like when the players begin to get it. Look at any BE game in 06-07 to see how ridiculous it can make other teams look.
That is why you shouldn't scrap it. next year will so much better.

The system worked, until we went into the prevent with 8 minutes to go. They now had no rhythm and only put up desparate shots with the shot clock ticking away. They should have continued to do what they were doing for 32 minutes, which was the P offense with purpose. For the last 8 minutes, it had no purpose, other than to waste time. Obviously, the P offense for just wasting time, DOES NOT WORK. It works when there is a purpose of looking for the shot, not for looking to throw up a 3 at the end of the shot clock

scapping the offense is not the answer, but it obviously needs some refining given this teams problems scoring, especially down the stretch.

we will have to recruit guys who can nail the 3 for the princeton offense to be at its best. Right now we dont have those players.
We made it to teh final four not because of the o ffense but because of 1. jeff green- grat all alrond player 2. Roy hibbert- nba caliber big man 3. jon wallace- stedy on floor general 4. ewing heart and determination
Not to hard to figure out
