By a basketball game, at least. This might be my last post ever because I'm tired of caring so much for a team that is basically inept. That's the only way to put it. Time to stop with the "they're young" excuse. So is Kansas. They have played almost 30 games and they do the same stuff every game. The rebounding is something that I'm ripped on every day by every fan I know who watches our games. ACC fans, Big East fans, SEC fans, all of them comment on how bad we are. And away from the fact that per usual, we step out of bounds randomly 3-4 TIME A FREAKIN GAME, we can't rebound, we can't make a stop when it matters...you know what kills me the most?
JT III lost this game.
And it isn't the first time he's done it this year. We are up by 15 and he completely took the air out of the ball. We were absolutely abusing them and their pathetic defense. And then we stopped. Kaput. No energy. Bad passes, bad shots, no rebounds, per usual. Honestly, when was the last time we got a clean rebound in this game? 10 minutes left? Think about it.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is stuff of Esherickian proportions. We just don't improve. And God is next year going to be bad. I'm just glad I've decided to save the money next year and not be an out of town season ticket holder. Not worth it to me. I can't believe that for somebody that loves this team so much, lives and dies with this team....this was my final straw. I get myself worked up like a complete and utter moron when these guys are playing, and for what reason? None.

I'm with ya. 1 broken TV (my fault) Yelling at my wife (my fault) Waking up the kid (my fault) Flying down from CT. 4 times a year to go 1-3 (my fault). No heart, short arming free throws all half, stepping down to Johnnies (not my fault)

Bando, if you think I'm the only one that feels this way, you are sorely mistaken. The foundation of success that this program has been built on over the course of four years is getting ripped down in less than one. Just think, over the course of this year, our homecourt advantage is gone, we lose HORRENDOUS games on the road (SHU, SJU, and sorry, Cincy), have been completely out-recruited in our backyard, and have other coaches bad-mouth our system, we lost key committed recruits, and have been completely out coached RETPEATEDLY. There won't be 9k there on Saturday to send Jessie Sapp away. I feel badly for him for that. But without major changes, this program is on the brink, in a big way. What's going to be different about next year? Is Monroe going to start taking 2 foot shots while the clock is running down or continue to pass it? Are we going to rebound? Are we going to make free throws in crunch time? I'm even getting more riled up while typing this. Thank God it's almost golf season.

OSTHOYA Yes, of course, one mediocre season will doom the program for eternity. You're obviously the most rational human being on the planet. Go cheer for someone else.

Embarrassed by this game? Yes.
Too embarrassed to cheer on this team next year and in future seasons? No way in hell.

Sometimes teams dont mesh, its frustrating and sucks but we will all be back next year. To all the doubters and haters sometimes it takes one or two guys to come in here and bring the team together. Maybe hollis and some senior in highschool we dont een know about(maybe a 3 star banger with heart) will come in here and this team will be ok. Lets not all jump off the cliff...

Bando, I am feeding off your defensive and zealous rage.
I am reminded of my other beloved message board for the Mets, which also goes nuts and turns on itself after every bad loss.
I log onto Hoyatalk, because I take solace in that other people share my frustration and disappointment, and I would like to say that I love each and every one of you.

I came into this season knowing that we was'nt going to come close in winning as many games like we did the last two seasons. With all the young players it was going to be tough and look ugly at times during the season but I was'nt exspecting it to be this bad.
I figured with this young team we would atleast make it to the NCAA's but was I wrong.Theres only one word that I can think of when I think about this team(dissapointing)!!This years team did'nt have the heart, hustle, toughness, teamwork to just name a few. Yes we sucked this year but im not even going to think like the poster that started this tread about not caring for the GTown Hoyas.
Win or lose, I will ALWAYS be a Hoya fan!! Great season or not I will always be a Hoya fan!!I will always be a Hoya fan and I will NEVER stop caring for the GTown Hoyas.Im a Gtown Hoya fan for life!!!!!!

bando...I wouldn't call this a mediocre season. let's call it like it is...this season was extremely dissappointing bordering on disasterous. in my 30 years as a die hard hoya fan...I have never witnessed a hoya team self destructing as this this one has.
