Karl Hess ejected Tom Gugliotta & Chris Corchiani from the stands in a blowout loss to FSU. Unless they threatened his life, no reason to do that other than to flex. What a joke.

Nope. Practice players are generally held to the same eligibility standards as intercollegiate players. There must be some flexibility to that. Roy ran drills with the team during the Open Practice a few weeks ago. I can't imagine that Coach would allow that at a public event if it weren't okay. I believe that you can use "outside" players in practice, on occasion. You report it when you do it. Not sure if there is an actual number of days or just the idea of not going beyond the idea of "occasionally". If our pros were enrolled in classes this semester, I think they could serve as volunteer coaches and be in practice all the time.

Per Dave Telep via Twitter, "Louisville no longer option for Andrew White. Source close to program confirms offer expired. Cards weren't waiting forever"

My take on Hoops' idea is that it would not matter much in basketball, but could have an impact on the non-revenue sports. Not a death blow to the schools, but could hurt a team or two each qualifying for NCAA, and even hurt their recruiting for a year or two.

Vic was the first (only?) freshmen to win MVP of the Big East Tourney. After the disappointment of that game and Ray Allen's lucky shot, I was cheered up by watching the awards presentation. As they began to announce the MVP, Ray Allen got up and started to walk on the court. It was pretty great to watch him have to turn around and try to play it off when they called Victor Page.

Coach used to say that Georgetown retires memories, not numbers.

John Wooden and John Thompson have had a huge impact on me as a both a coach, and more importantly, as a man.
My definition of success is peace of mind obtained by doing the best you can to be the best you are.- John Wooden

I really enjoyed it.
My only wish is that their had been some mention of the effect this had on Allen- how he grew not to trust anyone outside of his inner circle, and how he held those people so close to him. I think these things have had such a huge impact on his life and career. Being on campus with him, I saw how great a person he could be to those "on the inside", and how cold he could be to others. And his loyalty to those he trusted created so many problems for him, as they got in trouble during his early pro years.
And why did Georgetown call me twice last night to hit me up for money- didn't they know I was busy?

I would bet that there are not too many people on this board that have seen as many basketball games, in person, as I have. And the '93 NCAA game at McDonough was one of the best games I have ever seen.

ESPN mentions DePaul's top recruit Brandon Young, out of DC's Friendship Collegiate and Team Triple Threat will open his recruitment. Hoyas are mentioned. Anyone know anything about him?

Sad day. To those of us from DC, he will be missed. Not many people in my lifetime have done more for the people in and around my hometown.
Hope he finds some angelic "fat ladies" singing for him.

I have seen Citizen Cope many times. Much better with full band. As an aside, his drummer used to be the JV basketball coach at Dunbar DC. Cope is a DC guy, from Wilson HS.
