Yeah, TJ is only a freshmen. He has plenty of time to develop, as with the other freshmen. His time will come.

Even TJ's dad didn't play freshman TJ his freshman year. "Seth kept T.J. on the bench for most of his freshman and into the first half of his sophomore season." Their school must of had a huge endowment and just were apathetic towards Seth's handling of Berger's freshmen minutes. No forethought about Berger's sophomore year and beyond.

In the post game presser coach talked about Carey’s work ethic and mentioned how he is someone that he points to when discussing with the younger guys about how hard you need to work to be successful at this level. Leadership. There is no substitute.

He hit his first shot last night which was a good sign. He tends to get hesitant if he misses his first couple. Won the tip too. Every little bit of mojo matters Word to Ben Gillery.

I’ll add that Bile seems to be a very competent player at this point. We are all on him (and coach Ewing) for his utilization early in the season. It’s clearer to me now that this is probably a situation where his performance in practice was not what we were seeing in games. Looking back it makes more sense. The real time game has slowed down quite a bit for him and I think he is closer to showing In Games what he was likely showing in practice. The utilization makes more sense, especially his green light to shoot the three. Bile has been confident from day 1. He didn't play timid or gingerly. Even after mistakes, Bile kept attacking. And most of our team in the beginning of the season, outside of Blair and Carey, lacked confidence whether due to inexperience or temperament. They would get down on themselves after screw ups (Pickett, J. Harris, the underclassmen). In retropsect, Ewing (and staff) probably saw the confident or swag aspect Bile brought to the table in practice and in games earlier in the season. They were willing to live with his mistakes because they saw what they see now and might have hoped it spread to others on the team. Bile is still confident, but playing more within himself and making himself a factor. The team is now playing with a confidence we didn't see earlier in the season.

It is great to have people pulling for our players and our team.
That is what fans typically do for their team. Especially when they have success. It boosts morale. It feels good to celebrate with fellow fans of the team.
We all know what this team has endured the past few seasons. We hit a rough patch of losing this season and then the COVID outbreak. To see the team come back and play the way they are playing now just feels great. You can see it in the players and their body language. Bile has played a big part in it.

Surely people have to give some credit to Coach Ewing. Winning doesn't happen by itself. Shout Out to Coach Ewing. The team is performing much better than many expected. We're winning against high level opponents...Go Hoyas!! Props to Coach Ewing's assistants as well.

I’ve felt that Pickett has played out of position at the 4. I hope we don’t force Sibley to play the 4. 4's aren't what they used to be in today's game, no? Pickett makes up for it with his rebounding. It remains to be seen what Sibley is because he is so raw.

Bile's play of late has had a big impact on this team's turnaround. He is a factor that opposing teams have to account for in their game plans. That has helped others on our team and the team as a whole.
I'm happy for him and the team. As a senior, his communication on the court and his play has influenced the other players and the team is better for it.
That is leadership. A stat that is immeasurable.

Pickett is one tough customer. He just keeps at it. The young man has the heart of a Hoya. Happy for him today.

I haven’t been able to watch many of the games live this year, but I have been able to watch the last two in full. I was really proud of how the Hoyas fought today — they got out to a hot start, lost control a bit, then seized it back. Once Seton Hall went on a run to take the lead in the early second half, I really thought we would not be able to fight back. We did, and it says a lot about this team. I know Coach Ewing has gotten his share of criticism, but he also deserves some credit for how this team has developed over the last few weeks. I was impressed by the rebounding. The team seemed to go after every opportunity to get the ball. I do wish we could address the turnovers. I suppose we have to push it, but it just seems as though we should be able to get those turnovers down. Even so, this was a great team win. REBOUND!

Come out, come out where ever you are? Where are all the haters now? 4-2 over the last 6 games in the Big East for a team that was picked to finish last. That poster...1997 or whatever his name is must be on suicide watch. Nah, 1997 will find something to say. lol At least he is honest about his intentions. It is the others who try to hide their intentions. The Ewing pocket watchers obsessed over his contract and anti-JT2 legacy crowd. Those are the ones who are peeved right now. lol

By a player that will never get close to that again. Is that a GTown centric issue? It seems like it happens at least 5-6 times a season. Man, we shut DOWN their top three players for a very mature #3 team in the nation with a young team (rookie shut down Gillespie fairly well by himself) and not a lot of cohesion and played them tightly and we are at this? This Nova game and the last two seem to show Ewing has this team finally understanding who they are. They found floor leadership with Dante on offense and Pickett and Bile on defense getting those on top of them set. Samuels was going off because Bile was in foul trouble and there isn't quite anybody ready to fill those shoes. Pickett pretty much shut down Earl, Nova's top player (Pickett doing this is awesome as before the last 3 games this was a long shot, so is Blair playing defense well and not just a handful of plays). But, but, but....lol Great points.

Congrats to Jr.!!! With that energy, personality and basketball I.Q., I bet he'll make a great assistant coach. The way is prepared for Jr. to take over from Sr. when he gets tired in a couple of years. It looks like we're skipping Ronny... Ronny will take over Orr's spot.

Loved Pat Jr. Selfless player. So much spirit and tenacity. That block vs WVA is one of my favorite memories of him. That and being the biggest cheerleader of the team during his transfer sit-out year. And yes, that was a block.
