I think just as big an issue in games is that he is a TWO FOOTED dunker. So that requires a bit more free open space , as well.

Just sad that some of us "hoya fans"can't even enjoy a win... It would be easier to enjoy if we didn’t have to worry about the W keeping Ewing around for another year.

Pat was clearly too busy to watch the contest. He is game planning for that great Butler team we face today.

It’s sad that the contest was my basketball watching highlight of the past 2 years. From the brevity of this thread , looks like few here even had this minor pleasure. Guess the next highlight comes with Pats retirement ( with full pay) after we lose in first rd of the BET.

As time goes on I’m much less unhappy with Macs decision to transfer and actually get some good coaching. I’m pulling for him.

I’m not excited about Brey. But right now we’re a long way from having “ an elite level Final Four coach” ! If we can’t get a proven, yet tarnished coaching star in here….Brey would probably at least have us back in ncaa tourney “ conversation “ again.

Patrick built the Hoya image and started the Georgetown roll in BB. He has single handedly done more to take that image down as well. Along with his enabler DeGioia Obviously Pat took us to the mountaintop, not denying it. But I do hate that folks seem to ignore that we were one point from making the Final Four in 1980, after leading Iowa most of the game. Shelton, Duren, and Sleepy had us at a high level before PE arrived.

Team looks done. Hopefully Ewing calls it quits now. Why would he? He has come up with masterful game plans. The players simply don’t follow his instructions. Next yr he will have 12 new transfers ,who hopefully understand and execute on his coaching brilliance.

Maybe with the score and losing of wahab Pat can give Ryan a few seconds of play.

What depresses me is that I’m actually pathetic enough to be watching this. I need a life.

Here’s another one that is almost certainly going to happen. I’ve been going to Hoya games since before the Big East. But I confess I do not have any memories of our time in the EIC.

Primo is carrying this team. Show respect to the kid. These are simply facts. Very nice game by Primo today. That is a fact. Stating the past college record of HIS TEAMS isn't necessary … why the need to cast shade on the kid. yes…we are an atrocious team and saying it’s poorly coached gives Ewing too much credit. But it’s not a crime to allow praise for one of the kids when they play well.

Amazing to have a 5 page game thread against a top 10 team. The program is obviously at an all time low. That said , I really enjoyed watching Primo today…one of the best offensive performances we’ve had in a few years.

I think the problem is it’s extremely difficult for us diehards to take even a scintilla of pleasure from a few good plays in a particular game, especially in yet another loss. Normally, with even a mediocre team, this would be possible. This program is historically bad, and there is still the worry that Ewing will be allowed yet another season to wipe out any minuscule fan base that might be left.
So yes, it’s a shame we can’t appreciate a “ relatively “ good performance by the guys ag Nova. But it’s hardly amazing that we can’t.
