Might be wrong space, but we basically are getting three new players next year in Jagan, Agau and White. I also think/hope there is some addition by subtraction with DSR. Through no fault of his own, I think a lot of guys deferred to him too much. Ike did it all season and LJ stopped doing it and really exploded. Another year of coaching as a group and hopeful improved team execution on D could go a long way. This is quite true. However, that is assuming both guys return at full strength after serious injuries. It is also hoping both guys improve a lot, especially Agau. Finally it is not reasonable to assume there will be no injuries NEXT year, as well. In my opinion, this year's team was lucky in that only one starter missed time, namely Hayes missing the last 5 or 6 games.

Bradley's amazing rise to a very solid college center no doubt took a lot of dedication on his part. I greatly enjoyed his play in the Big Dance and this year. DSR gave everything he had..which is quite a lot. Riyan Williams....seeing you on the court, albeit briefly, brought back memories of your dad and the glory years. CONGRATS on fine careers at GU and in the future.

Jimmy Jackson said this Hoya team has a lot of talent and will be back. Coach Wright said the same thing on his postgame interview. So we have much to look forward to....apparently .

Hard for me to comprehend how Campbell gets 14 shots in a game of this magnitude. More shots than everyone but LJ. During that stretch in the second half where Nova made the run and we missed every shot..why not try and bring in Reggie (I know everyone hates him here)..who shoots 40% from 3 and can't play any less D than Tre. Oh well...its just nit picking., like complaining about the deck chairs on the Titanic. As usual, the guys played one good half. What else can be said...I'm sure there will be plenty over the next several months.

Some times teams outperform the sum of their parts and sometimes, like this years' Hoya team, they under perform. There are probably a lot of reasons why, but this team had more individual talent that should have translated into a better season. Were they going to win the BE with the other talented teams in the conference and the injuries they incurred, probably not, but they also should not being going into the BET tonight with no chance of making the NCAA tournament. There is no way to really know from outside the program, but I am hopeful that the people on the inside of the program know what went wrong and have a plan in place to fix it for next year. Yup.

Trawick is a dime a dozen. There are 300 players in every class who can play that role. A dime a dozen? Really? Brilly is the 2nd most important recruit in his class and I would day top5 in the JT3 era. You obviously forgot how the teams lacked toughness for years after JGreen left. Brilly brought an attitude that had been missing for a while. Jabril is definitely missed BIG time on this year's team. And he was not truly an "under the radar" guy like Walker...ESPN ranked him #80 by the time he graduated, which is actually higher than our one commit for next year or the year after. Not a McD AA, but a legit high major prospect a lot of schools wanted.

Has anyone actually seen this kid play...or just basing criticism on the fact he has not gotten many major offers so late in the process? I would not mind getting a local kid who is a late bloomer. Does this preclude us from adding a guard?

Let's stop slamming DSR. I am as unhappy as most with this season. But, DSR is who he is and did not let any of us down. An excellent 4 year Hoya guard with some outstanding skills, but with physical flaws that keep him from being truly great. I do not see any untapped potential here...he gave us all he had and did not disappoint me at all. The issues were the young'uns who failed to improve or become as consistent as we expected, and a coaching staff that seemed clueless (this year.)

Jesse is an outstanding shooter, out to three point range. For someone his height, that is quite a weapon. His passing and even strength holding on to the ball need a good amount of work, but I expect both to improve a great deal over the next two years. Whether he can be an adequate defensive player, is anyone's guess. Overall, I consider him a definite positive.

He's probably looked at as a position less kid but it's ok because he plays winning basketball.. I'll be very surprised if he's not a fan favorite in a year or two.. So, is the issue that he hasn't fully developed PG skills and doesn't have a great outside shot for a 2-guard? So, he's a combo guard for the wrong reasons? Sounds like another LJ Peak? But the question posed was this: why is the best player on one of the best team's in the nation not getting any love from the recruiting sites? This is a shock to me, as well. ESPN does not have him ranked and 247 Composite has him at 168! If he was at some tiny school in Montana, it would make sense that he is so under appreciated, but it is very strange considering how high profile his program is. Now...I have never seen Jagen play and have absolutely no opinion on his skills...but I do agree with Ranch that it is strange that none of the recruiting sites have him above a three star. Again..the rankings are a very inexact science, but it is a bit strange.

What has this team been doing all year? Anyone, and I mean ANYONE on this board please tell me one area we have improved in since the loss to Radford? 1. Can we defend without using our hands and fouling non stop? 2. Can we close out on open shooters with giving up 3 free throws or even a 4 point play 3. Can we EVER understand the value of not turning the ball over? 4. Can we do anything on offense beside a high screen pick and roll 5. Do we ever score after a time out? I could go on and on and on. Are these kids as talented as all of their individual press clippings coming out of high school? That is a story for another day. But to see absolutely no improvement from this team over the past 4 months is disgusting. i think that's unfair. We did improve in several areas. We just played a different style when we were more competitive early on so it was kind of a mirage and our biggest problem has clearly been a lack of competitiveness. Do you really think we lose that Redford game in the same manner today? I don't, but of course that's not saying much cause we should never lose to them. Either way, just quickly off the top of my head DSR got better as he year went on, LJ got a lot better in several areas, and our reserves got a lot of experience and saw improvement. It's a marathon not a sprint, not the greatest year but still a lot of positives to build on. We have the talent, we just need the know-how. Rock..I hope you are making millions as a "spin doctor" for politicians caught in scandals..if not , you are wasting your talents!

As a local, the contrast between what is going on in College Park v on the Hilltop is stark. Huge, enthusiastic crowds...5 star recruits visiting, the huge local and national buzz about the team, while GU is a complete afterthought. Gotta be hurting on the recruiting trail, especially around here. Definitely praying for a flameout in the NCAA for the Twerps.

Because they GAVE it to him, and he obviously was not aware of the score and the clock.

Honestly...I think the guys gave it all they had today...especially when it appeared to be a blowout. I do not think they had much more in the tank to give. Not defending this putrid season in any way, just kudos for the guys on the court who made it a game in those final minutes.

Ike was pushed by the Butler center on that last play. That is a foul.
