Most likely our last shot at happiness this season. Please let's play a solid 40 minutes.

What time would the Thursday game be if we win on Wednesday?

Terrible but I guess it doesn't matter.

Would suggest starting LJ and Tre and resting DSR for the first half and even most of the game if we stay up. Also any word on Bradley Hayes return?

We ain't good enough to rest anybody unless we get up by 20 with 5 minutes left. The chances of that happening, even against Depaul, seem infinitesimal.

The reference to "resting" DSR seemed to me to suggest saving him for Thursday. Given his ole defense, we need to "rest" Tre as well if we are punishing bad performances.

Let's stop slamming DSR. I am as unhappy as most with this season. But, DSR is who he is and did not let any of us down. An excellent 4 year Hoya guard with some outstanding skills, but with physical flaws that keep him from being truly great. I do not see any untapped potential here...he gave us all he had and did not disappoint me at all. The issues were the young'uns who failed to improve or become as consistent as we expected, and a coaching staff that seemed clueless (this year.)

Good MSG tickets are reasonable for the DePaul / Hoya game. Hope Hoya fans can attend and support our team, regardless of the disappointing season. Hopefully we get to the second round and play Nova again. We play well at the Garden and you never know.

Watching Holy Cross vs. Army. Holy Cross had been getting beaten bad this season and only had 10 wins. For the Patriot League tourney, Carmody instituted a 1-3-1 that they haven't run all year. They knocked off the 1 seed in Bucknell (after beating Loyola) and now lead Army by 8 at half (at West Point). I understand it's the Patriot League and the competition isn't substantial, but I will be incredibly disappointed in JTIII if we don't similarly pull out all the stops in the BET. We have nothing to lose.

I was not suggesting that DSR hurts us on the court. He is one of the best individual players in GU history! I do believe the play is different when he is not on the court and that may be enough to put DePaul at a disadvantage if he does not start or if he only plays limited minutes in the first half. I also believe 4 games in 4 days is difficult and particularly going from 7pm to noon will cause some increased fatigue and soreness. Our best chance of beating Nova is for DSR, Peak and Copeland to play to their full potential. I believe LJ is best when he is playing instinctively like he did yesterday. I therefore do not worry if he is fatigued. Copeland also seems best when given some run. I have yet to figure out when Tre or Govan play their best, just have to hope they bring their A games. DSR seems best when he is challenged but not double teamed. I feel resting him at least for part of the DePaul game would give the others the best chance of starting to play more instinctively instead of deferring to DSR.

I'd rather have DSR in there than Cameron or Campbell. You are basically giving the game away when either of this guys are in there based in their performance this season .
