In the ranking of endowments which I saw (google 100 Richest Schools) we are number 60, immediately behind GW. Notre Dame has an endowment of over $9 billion. Boston College is also ahead of us. Other schools ahead of us include Swarthmore, Smith, and Grinnell.

was traveling Sunday and listened to Duke-MSU on Sirius. enjoyed hearing Big John do the color. At the end of the game Coach congratulated Tom Izzo for winning "the right way". I don't think coach is a one and done guy.

We played Villanova in the Pavilion in 2017. Last year they played all their home games at the Wells Fargo Center as the Pavilion was under renovation.

At the beginning of the game down 6-0 we have turnovers, haven't taken a shot, look shaky bringing the ball up against their press, and the crowd is howling. Pickett hits a three and we start to climb back into the game. We seemed to withstand mistakes which last year would snowball and derail us. At the end I believe we were the team that thought we would win. Reduce the turnovers and involve Govan more and we are scary. that was fun to watch and not just because we won.

I was a freshman when Frank succeeded Bob Sigholtz I remember not liking the idea of a track coach as AD. How wrong I was. Dave Gavitt, John Thompson Frank Rienzo and a few others. We till stand on some very broad shoulders.

can't get down to Kenner until the 28th. Long way to drive from Philly for 2 scheduled games. Could a Kenner veteran tell me if the playoffs might begin on Sunday the 29th? How many teams make the playoffs? thanks for any insights.

I remember at one of the Duke UNLV championship match-ups Duke students held up a sign to the UNLV team saying "welcome, Fellow Students". That seems to ring a bit hollowly now.

While we're talking about honoring teams from the past, how about a nod towards the teams of the Seventies that started it all. Patrick Ewing arrived at the beginning of Thompson's tenth year. Merlin Wilson, Jon Smith, Derrick Jackson, Craig Shelton John Duren (long-time Hoya fans you can add a few more)- without that foundation the wonderful things that happened in the Eighties would not be possible.

Does taking 2 of the next 3 home games seem so far-fetched any more? Not to me.

I have written my US Rep and one Senator asking them to push for a ban on assault weapons. Maybe it’s time to go single issue. Children’s lives vs. any trigger, anytime. I know where I stand.

10 games left. 4 games against the elite- Nova, Xavier, and Seton Hall. A win there seems improbable.
3 games on the road against Creighton, Providence and Butler- one win from this group would be an achievement.
3 home games against DePaul, Marquette and Providence I’d be happy with 2/3.
5-6 conference wins would be something to build on.

I live in Philadelphia, home of the Process. I am not going to sweat the conference W's this year. Recruit well (seems to have started) snd teach strong defense. I believe better days are coming.

My son is a sophomore at Bard College Now "California tumbles into the sea/ That will be the day I go back to Anandale" makes great sense.

Maybe the boxing analogy which has been raised by many (including the New York Times) is overly simplistic. However I am pondering this: if I wouldn't let my sons play because of health concerns, should I watch and support other's sons?

Making my annual Kenner visit from Philadelphia Saturday with one son, joined by another son who now lives in Glover Park. Waffle House in Maryland for breakfast, pulled pork at the Hoya hoop club picnic. Used to hit Ray's Hellburger in Arlington as we were exiting but saw that have left that location. Maybe mussels and frites at Sovereign. Basketball is important but so is food.

My late cousin who was a probation officer in north Worcester County had a great story about shooting baskets at the Winchendon Y on his lunch hour with Victor Page

Last night as Carolina made their 12-0 run to erase a 64-59 deficit, I thought back to 10 years ago in the Meadowlands and our charge at the end of regulation and into overtime to get to the Final Four.
Despite the ending to the '08 season I remember the 15-3 Big East record. Watching the Hoyas that season was a pleasant distraction from family illness. The Porter years were great- beating Syracuse in our last Big East appearance in the Dome and then holding them to 39 points in DC are great memories.
Thank you for all you did. I was proud to root for you and your team.

the 2013 and 2015 Georgetown away games with Villanova were at Well Fargo. I was there. But don't take my word for it. If you got to Villanova.com Basketball Schedule and look at the years 2012-13 and 2014-15 you will see the place of the game designated as "Philadelphia Pa." as distinct from "Villanova Pa." which is the designation for the on-campus games.
