Sigh...why can't we have a legitimate discussion here? Lubick is not unathletic at all. And let me clarify...I shouldn't say "athletic" DSR is athletic he's just not quick. Neither is Cameron. I'm not saying any of this to knock or criticize anyone....it's the truth. I love that we're going to have a knock down shooter....they're extremely valuable when we have kids that can get in the lane and kick it out or use great ball movement to create an open shot. That being said, you can't have more than 1 slow footed players on the court at the same time without getting burnt on defense. Is that not fair to say?? Effort level is important yes, but that doesn't mean they can effort their way into sliding their feet quickly if they're physically unable. All I've ever said is you've got to surround those types of players with quickness to make up for their slowness. And look, he's yet to even play a game yet so of course this can change. I love the effort that DSR has been showing lately...but everyone needs to be a little objective here. There's a big difference from being a hater to having an educated debate

So back to the topic at hand. Seems like "insiders" at other schools have lots of rumors to share about the invite list, TV contract, exit date, etc. What I haven't seen is any Gtown fans claiming to have inside knowledge. So what's the story? Are these other "insiders" full of it? Is our administration keeping a tight lid on things? Are our insiders not sharing? Have these decisions even been made or is the league still working on exiting the Big East? I mean when has Georgetown ever had leaks? They're notoriously tight lipped. Any "information" we get isn't coming from the hilltop you can be assured of that much

Seeing the problems Kyle Wiltjer is causing Ole Miss (even though he is not athletic) with his shooting is helping convince me Cameron will add value with his height and shooting alone. I agree, but Wiltjer is at least 6'10 so it's not quite the same thing. And he's surrounded by ultra athletic/quick players. He got benched earlier this year because he was such a defensive liability. Again the point is you need to surround players like this with quick/athletic defenders. A lineup of DSR and Cameron at the same time won't be good for business

What if they built an on campus arena that sat like 10K ?? Interesting idea. I don't think we've ever discussed it to death on this board before. lol

Isn't the underdog considered to have covered on a tie? Nice free throw shooting by Pitt tonight. Theoretically if I was a betting man it would be a push. Would have just gotten your money back in that case. Theoretically MODS

If both student sections aren't packed for this game I will have completely lost all faith in the students.

The reason Kirby left was he couldn't be effective here...recruits loved him, but if gtown was in NC or anywhere else in the south for that matter, we woulda pulled in some of those guys. It's really tough for those kids to want to leave the south

maybe DSR and Bowen that's all I can think of for Hunter. Brennan I don't think has landed anyone

There's hope cause mom is big on academics and she's in control of Lil Big Daddy's recruitment. He may be third or fourth in the pecking order though. I think Looney and Copeland would be ahead of him on the list, but I don't know. I mean you better believe if he wanted to pop first they'd take him in a heartbeat I'm sure

Until we hear otherwise....the HEAD COACH has said he has a chance to come back. I'm sorry an analyst doesn't have better info than that. Now it may turn out to be the case he's out for the year, but until we hear otherwise we're gona have to go with the main source here

I sincerely hope they are able to put lights in for the field. Fox obviously runs Fox Soccer channel which televises college soccer games every Friday evening. We've never been able to participate for a home game since we don't have lights. I know the neighbors have complained about light pollution, but I really don't think lights there would be a nuisance. No lights? I seem to remember, when I stayed on campus in Oct., my hotel room overlooked the soccer field and I could see the field at night; maybe they were not strong enough for game play or maybe I was imaging everything. And congrats to the Hoya seniors, who were picked in the draft. Well deserved! There are lights on Kehoe field (the ACL killing old school astro-turf field on top of yates). There are no lights on the actual soccer field itself, certainly nowhere close to adequate for match play. I know the light issue has been proposed before and the neighbors have fought it (obviously)

UMD rushed the court after the beat #14 NC State last night. Almost everyone in the media has made fun of it and said "look how far Maryland's fallen". Anyone else want to still argue we should rush?
