From what I understand, Trey Lyles cut us. Jaquan Lyle (friends with DSR) has not cut us, though it remains a longshot. whoops you're right. got mixed up understandably

Lyle has already cut us. Has butler in his final 6 though! Agreed on Wiley Lattin and Copeland. I think the time spend on Looney is worth it as long as he's receptive though

Either way, possibly being able to play Cuse at home the last game of the season for a regular season championship would be epic. (Assuming we win of course! ) Jinx reverse jinx etc etc. one game at a time!!!!

Mike Rice with a great tearing into his players with about 2 minutes left of a 20 point blowout loss. The kids in the huddle looked thrilled. Far removed from the huddle, way in the background, Diamond Dave Cox looked like he was looking for his car keys. He should have a new position lined up elsewhere by tip Saturday

Looks like Garret? and Bowen got into it. Bowen was supppper heated was trying to sprint back into the fray Nate basically tackled him out of the way. No idea how it started. I had started walking out of Verizon and turned around to see the fracas. Hopefully nothing comes of it

I guess because he's an international player he wouldn't be held to the same rules? Or does the age limit apply to euros as well? (i have no idea)

You people (read: Doctor Hoya) make me sick. It's a joke. I don't care if you don't think we haven't been good (which is complete crap so I won't even bother going into that), but the fact remains this is the ONE big time sport (meaning nationally relevant sport on TV etc etc) that Georgetown has. There's no football (sorry DFW don't kill me). Why the heck wouldn't the students want to go to the games? Even if they're that uneducated about the team, why does this even matter? These are social events to an uneducated fan. I really don't understand it at all. This is the most frustrating thing ever. This program is a CONSISTENT TOP 25 NATIONAL PROGRAM....and students could care less Look, I love our program and think its great. I donate to the team and go to as many games as possible. I was simply saying that to the CASUAL fan, they have a hard time getting excited for a year that pumps them up during the year and let's them down in the tournaments. It is extremely frustrating and I completely agree with you. And yes, I understand that it is the ONE big sport on campus. Buuuut most Georgetown students work their asses off and would probably rather sit and watch at home than make the commute. Even at the end of last nights game when the refs were calling a ton of fouls, one of the things students kept screaming was "quit calling the fouls, I have to get home to do work..." It sucks and idk what to do about it. Hopefully the athletics dept has something up their sleeves or the team has great success this year and can convert some of the students Fair point. They do need to make it easier to get to games. I'm not expecting big turnouts for weekday Seton Hall games, but weekends have been just as bad. It's a frustrating topic for me as I mentioned and I'm sure alot here who live and breathe for the team so it's alot harder to look at it objectively. It has to be the commute mixed with just general apathy from the student body. Something needs to change though.

That being said student turnout is absolutely pathetic. We've talked at length as to possible reasons, but it's just inexcusable

I think this is worthy of one of my first posts: Last night at the Seton Hall game there were maybe 50 students there. What happened? This is quite frankly an insult to our team that has been building some nice momentum lately. HoyaBlue, we need you to step up!! There were more people in the loyalty society section than the student section where I was sitting. I explained to a very shocked student that when I was a student a few years back, both sides of the student section were filled all of the way up and they had to open seats in the 400s because so many people came. The apathy of the student body these days is really a shame but I guess there's not much else at fault other than the fact that we haven't had very successful seasons in almost 4 years--the entire team the current student body has been there. Oh well We haven't had very successful seasons in 4 years?? Is that a joke? Tournament success maybe not but we've been a top 10 team at some point (not this year) for the last what 4 years?

Cam will hit a high percentage of 3’s he’s going to be deadly as a trailer on the break (Secondary break) but defensively it’s going to be tough for him in a 1 on 1 situation. He also looks like he could lose a couple pounds, that could help… As a side note if your pointing out that you can hide a below average defender on defense, aren’t you acknowledging that you think said player isn’t good at defense? I don’t see what the arguments about I guess... Exactly! All I am saying is you need to be able to hide a poor defensive player. If we had a 7' in the middle that makes up for alot. You seem to make that point yourself. Not once did I say don't recruit this kid. Nothing to do with Cameron. He's going to be a good player for us. If you can get over the fact this is not meant to troll, rather discuss I think we can pretty much objectively agree here SF
