Just thought it would be interesting to see where some of the kids we were on stand at this point through their frosh campaign. Didn't include Noel and K.Anderson because they won't be forgotten but wanted to put a small list together of others.
Have only seen Semaj and TJ Warren play at length and in my humble opinion would have loved both of them here.
I threw in Vee at the end just to stir the pot ;D, left off Bennimonster since we just saw him.
Devonta Pollard (Alabama) Mins: 23.1 Pts: 6.2 Reb: 3.9 Ast: 0.9 FG%: 42.3 FT%: 58.8 3Pt%: 25.0
Robert Upshaw (Fresno St.) Mins: 18.8 Pts: 6.0 Reb: 4.1 Ast: 0.4 FG%: 39.0 FT%: 28.6% 3Pt%: N/A
Semaj Christon (Xavier) Mins: 34.9 Pts: 15.8 Reb: 2.4 Ast: 5.4 FG%: 51.7 Ft% 69.6 3Pt%: 22.2
James Robinson (Pitt) Mins: 29.2 Pts: 7.5 Reb: 2.2 Ast: 4.2 FG%: 45.6 FT%: 82.4 3PT%: 36.8
TJ Warren (NC State) Mins: 26.3 Pts: 14.6 Reb: 3.4 Ast: 0.7 FG% 69.1 FT%: 48.0 3pt%: 63.6
Vee Sanford (Dayton) Mins: 28.8 Pts: 12.1 Reb: 2.6 Ast: 2.4 FG% 44.7 FT%: 87.0 3PT%: 30.3

TJ Warren.....dude is a killer. Sees some time at the 4 too. Ugly stroke, but knows how to score.

Even more shameful is the fact he's the only player on this list that DIDN'T get an offer...

Watched Upshaw at Fresno State play against New Mexico on Saturday afternoon. He is clearly going to be a force, but right now he is a work in progress. He was outplayed by the NM bigs, particularly on the boards. Has a soft shot and is athletic, but thus far poses an offensive threat only around the basket. Based upon what I saw, I would say he is clearly ahead of Hayes and Moses in terms of skills. I actually think that Hopkins is slightly further along, with the exception of finishing shots.

So Upshaw actually gets the ball to go in the basket? That's a pretty important consideration, don't you think? And Warren has an ugly stroke? He's shooting 60-something percent from 3, but I don't know how many he's attempted or whether that's a real part of his game.

Warren is a monster. Just gets buckets.
I like James Robinson's game and I don't care if RDF yells at me because of it.

Did you forget rebounding? I would guess that he has been more effective thus far than Hopkins.

Hard to say if its because Hopkins gets his offensive boards off his own shots a lot...

Damyean Dotson very well may be the 2nd best player Georgetown recruited last year behind Nerlens.

Looked it up. Neither hits the offensive glass well, Hopkins 6.6%, Upshaw 6.8% OReb%, but Upshaw does well on the defensive end, 20.1% to 9.1% for Hopkins. Hopkins plays more, last few games notwithstanding, 50.4% of available mins vs 39%. Believe it or not, their ORtg is identical, and bad, at 79.6. Fresno's offense is woeful.

As a big man, when you have the chance to go to Villanova and run up and down the court in hopes that one day a guard will pass it to you in the post, you really have to go there. I mean, just look at how Mouph Yarou has developed!

Not that I wouldn't take him, but what the hell is he doing retweeting that? Is that an easy mistake to make?
