As freshman he looked like he was going to be the next great one who got away. Last year, as a junior, it seemed like he did not do a lot, and now he is seeking a release from Arkansas. Any thoughts? hmm, interesting. He only has one year of eligibility left after he sits for transferring. I wonder where he ends up.

Is there any back-story to the decision? UNLV? Why? Or is that just where this guy's talent level puts him? His AAU coach is tight with the UNLV coaches, and they have another player from his country.

I wish that Randolph kid from Texas that committed to LSU, had not already signed his LOI. I think he would have fit Jeff's spot the best...I'll take Sims, Hamga, Braswell and Clark. SF/2G is not a pressing need for the 08 class, although a good one could emerge over the summer.

As long as it is not UCONN. I curse any local product that would pick UCONN or Cuse over Gtown. Joseph does not count because he is one of those Canadiens. Plus small forward is not a pressing need until 09.

Then again the ESPN hype machine is in over-drive trying to stir up inerest for the draft. So who knows what to believe. Those fools tried to tell everyone that Brady Quinn was a top 5 pick.

chuck, sorry to ruin your day but I got that from Katz's blog yesterday: Milwaukee is peeved over the way Yi Jianlian has been handled during the draft process. The Bucks legitimately want to take him if Mike Conley Jr. or Al Horford is off the board at No. 6 (which is a strong possibility). Yet, Yin's representative Dan Fegan didn't invite the Bucks to watch Yi work out in Los Angeles. The Bucks would have given Yi the chance to compete with Charlie Villanueva for starter minutes. Yet a source close to the Bucks said they were told by Yin's representation that Yi only would play in a major city with a significant Asian population. That last comment made no sense to the Bucks when they saw that Phoenix, which as of Monday didn't have a pick until No. 24 in the first round, was invited to watch Yi work out Monday. Meanwhile, if the choices for the Bucks are North Carolina's Brandan Wright or Georgetown's Jeff Green at No. 6, the Bucks may revisit at least two of the three trade offers that came their way recently, according to a source. One of the offers was from Philadelphia. The Sixers offered their two first-round picks (Nos. 12 and 21) for Milwaukee's No. 6 (so the Sixers could take Green). Another offer was with Portland, which desired No. 6 and Dan Gadzuric (and maybe someone else for money purposes) for Jarrett Jack and Joel Przybilla. The third trade that came to the Bucks was with Phoenix, which had offered up Shawn Marion to pry away No. 6, among many other Bucks' assets. But the Bucks dismissed that offer since Marion can opt out after next season. And even if Marion did show, most of the Bucks' money would be tied up with Marion and Michael Redd, diminishing the Bucks' production. insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=katz_andyDouble OY! Well I would prefer Philly over Mil or MInn. The trade with Phoenix would be great, but doubtfull. Dallas wants to jump into the top six, but they do not want to give up Harris. Jeff would flourish in Dallas. Ainge wants Yi, the next Darko/Zkitishivilis(sp). Doc wants Jeff, a real basketball player.

Philly is trying to trade with Milwaukee for the #6 pick. OY! I just yelled at my computer screen when I read that. My secretary ran into the office like I was hurt(LOL). Well I'm watching that draft coverage on ESPN right now, and as long as I do not hear it from Katz or Bucher I will hold out hope.

hes going to be a sixer...much like i realized he was going pro... i know realize that the sixers are going to ruin my nba watching for years to come... come to grips with it... I know--get the money ready to bail me out okay KG? I do not think that Philly will be able to trade ahead of Mil or Minn to get Jeff. At least I hope not.

Ya know I probably loath Jay Bilas more than anyone, but I have to give him credit. He is always extremely complementary and fair when he discuss Gtown.
Still have to hit the mute button when Gottlieb starts talking.

Bucher just reported a sick deal. Garnet to Pheonix, Amare to Atlanta, and 3, 11 picks to Minn. I have no idea why Phoenix would make that deal, but ATL is the winner inthat deal. This also means Jeff would not go to Minn.

Well it is sad that guys like Jeff and KG have the futures in the hands of guys like Kevin Mchale and Danny Ainge. THose 2 make Matt Millan look competent.

I hope Monroe does not like playing with Evans, because there is a good chance Evans "the Gunner" ends up at L'Ville. I am actually surprised that Monroe took that many shots. He normally is more pass oriented, but I like his aggressiveness and effeciency.
Mcdonald was also solid.
