According to Cincinnati's rivals site. No link yet.

Glad to see Cinci is starting to accumulate some talent--that's good for the Big East. I'm also glad that McClain committed so that people would stop talking about how we needed to sign him.

Him and Gates are solid gets. I have a feeling the Cats will be back in the top half of the league in a couple years.

As long as it is not UCONN. I curse any local product that would pick UCONN or Cuse over Gtown. Joseph does not count because he is one of those Canadiens. Plus small forward is not a pressing need until 09.

Congrats. A strong Cincinnati helps make a stronger Big East. Go Big East.

Perhaps the lack of a seven foot recruit for next year is indicative of the staff's feelings on who is returning.

This is good news, he isn't going to UConn and hopefully this will help lift Cinci out of the gutter

Maybe Biggie picked Cincy because he didn't qualify academically elsewhere.

Wouldn't he have picked WVU then?

Good luck to Biggie--glad to see him pick a school and hope he can get his eligibility. He'll be a good player for Bearcats and looking forward to facing him in future. Cronin is a good coach and Cincy will be better--sooner rather then later. I think Bearcats will be a tougher program to face then WVU under Huggins--which is a step down from Beilein in terms of how program will be run and in coaching ability. As for Gates--he wasn't skilled enough for how Hoyas play--you can't be a crude offensive player and fit into this offense-he's known for being a bruiser and great athlete and marginal basketball player at this time--he's gotten a lot of attention based upon his frame and not his game (didn't mean to go Nipsy Russell on everyone ) The one that stings is losing Joseph--who is built to play in Hoyas system and is a wonderful talent. He grew up a Cuse fan, loved Melo and his decision is no shock-but was hoping he would see the fit/playing time available at GU--but now he's chosen Cuse--who is building a very loaded roster for future battles-it's going to be fun to see where Hoyas turn. Having Jason Clark and Chris Braswell as a start to what could be a huge class--if Jeff/Roy or one of them return is going to be fun to follow. Recruiting is fun to follow but it hides the fact that you appear to be a loser in most cases--you have 4/5 scholarships to give and 30 names are interested--well you will "lose" more then you "Win"--it's why you recruit quality fits and not just best name//rated player you can--and in the kids above only Gates was a kid I didn't see as a great fit for Hoyas program due to his suspect skill level and reliance on his frame/power at HS level. I'd take Braswell/Henry Sims combo or Samardo Samuels any day of week. Will say that Joseph/Ebanks would've been GREAT FITS but I'm sure we'll see many other kids like them attracted to the program Hoyas have--who wouldn't be?

Maybe Biggie picked Cincy because he didn't qualify academically elsewhere. He hasn't academically qualified anywhere since he just took the ACT again last weekend. The conference sets the minimum standards, and Cincinnati's are above that minimum. UC has raised there standards in the last few years. UC is not going to get a guy just because he didn't qualify anywhere else.

I'm really excited he didn't go to UConn. Simple as that. Anybody but them and 'cuse.

I wish that Randolph kid from Texas that committed to LSU, had not already signed his LOI. I think he would have fit Jeff's spot the best...I'll take Sims, Hamga, Braswell and Clark. SF/2G is not a pressing need for the 08 class, although a good one could emerge over the summer.
