I love jokes, but I'm old school, I don't think its a joke unless its funny. Talking bout Florida's chances at repeating next year in a thread about the star of our teaming leaving for the NBA doesn't qualify as funny to me. You missed the first shot that was fired, that's why. Someone said that Jeff Green returning was as likely as Florida repeating. Obviously I thought he was talking about hoops, but acted as if he was talking about football. Never mind. That shouldn't have to be explained. Ohhh, well now that you explain it, its hilarious, I mean if I was a Gator fan I would not be able to stop laughing..... Oh wait a min, I'm not a Gator fan. So yeah I stand my earlier statement, not funny. But getting back on track here, do people think Jeff is going to release any sort of statement with the usual, I enjoyed playing at Georgetown but the NBA is an exciting challenge I wanted to undertake, type statement or will he just let the deadline pass and head off to the NBA?

nathan and DaJuan, can't you take a little joke? I know he was talking about hoops, but I could play off of that. In any case, I still want Green to come back. We can all still hope for another hour and 45 minutes or so. I love jokes, but I'm old school, I don't think its a joke unless its funny. Talking bout Florida's chances at repeating next year in a thread about the star of our teaming leaving for the NBA doesn't qualify as funny to me.

I think our shot at repeating is excellent next season. We get Auburn, FSU and Tennessee at home and of course we own Georgia. LSU should be the key game, but with last year as an example, it is possible to lose one game on the road to a quality opponent, and still make the title game. Seriously though, is the deadline tonight at midnight or last night at midnight? No one cares, really

I don't if anyone saw this but Aaron Gray recommended that Jeff go back to Gtown for his senior year so that he could save a spot in the 1st round for him. Really hilarious here is a copy of the post:
Aaron Gray (Pittsburgh) June 11th, 2007
i'm tellin u, school is fun my dude.... u sure you don't wanna go back and leave open one of them first round spots for the big fella, ha.... fightin out here man, good luck my brother

You have to take 4 classes to stay full time at Georgetown, so I'm pretty sure they took at least 4 classes

Just to play devil's advocate, if he's coming back why does it matter if his teammate hurts his stock? It seems to me there are people close to Jeff releasing information when they are not sure or they are taking there best guess.
I feel like he's coming back too however but I think going #5 or #6 would make him leave, that being said I don't see either the Celtics or the Bucks using there picks on Jeff. Fingers crossed.

Blue: Macklin, Green, Ewing Jr., Sapp, Wright Bench: Rivers Grey: Hibbert, Summers, Freeman, Crawford, Wallace Bench: Wattad, Nikita
The blue team will thrive in the fast break whereas the Grey team should thrive in the half court set.

I made this table the other day at work. I took the total conference record of all teams in the Big East since the expansion regular season and Big East tourney. I was also going to add NCAA or NIT games but since the expansion no 2 Big East teams have met in the post season.
Wins Loses Win % Georgetown 28 10 0.736842105 Villanova 25 11 0.694444444 Pittsburgh 27 12 0.692307692 Marquette 21 14 0.6 West Virginia 21 14 0.6 Connecticut 20 14 0.588235294 Syracuse 22 16 0.578947368 Louisville 19 16 0.542857143 Notre Dame 18 17 0.514285714 DePaul 14 19 0.424242424 Providence 13 20 0.393939394 Seton Hall 13 20 0.393939394 St. John's 12 21 0.363636364 Rutgers 11 23 0.323529412 Cincinnati 10 23 0.303030303 South Florida 4 28 0.125

I feel like the off-season messes with people's memories. At no point last year during our sick run were we saying Ewing should be starting over Summers but the season ends and we act like he wasn't a really good basketball player, and Ewing saved us all the time.
Hey guys remember when we went to the final 4! I love Jeff & Roy to death but they were not the type of stars like Law, Oden, Conley, Wright, Affalo were to their teams. We played more like Florida and balanced our talent across all 5 positions. So if you were starting JT3 had a reason for it.
Its the same mentality with the new guys coming in, how they are going to be good enough to replace a Final 4 starter with 0 min of college basketball experience. Lets slow down a minute. If Jeff comes back, we are going to keep the same starting 5, Ewing Rivers Macklin will all min, as well the 2 freshman guards hopefully and most importantly hopefully Tyler will too.

What were Summers & Ewings TO/40min after Big East play, unless my memory is failing me Summers had a ton of TO's in the beginning of the season but improved dramatically as the season went on.

Latest Katz:
Georgetown's Jeff Green is getting quite an audience. He's had the entire Sixers and Bulls brass checking him out on campus for a workout. And now he's got a U.S. Senator and owner coming this week. Milwaukee Bucks owner/Wisconsin Sen. Herb Kohl (D) is expected to be in attendance for Tuesday's workout at Georgetown. The Bucks requested a time change with the Hoyas so Sen. Kohl could be in attendance. Green's decision on whether to stay in the draft is easily the most intriguing of anyone else on the fence. He's a lock for the lottery. If he returns, then the Hoyas are a given top-three preseason team.

Mr Sixer,
I know I appreciate you sharing what you know with us.
I think everyone is just very excited and some of that excitement translates into stupid questions, or requests for more information when you already stated no details.
I was guilty of it too. But I think its safe to say we are all grateful.
