Good heavens. Everything sounds like he's gone but, for god's sake man, say so one way or another.

After the WJLA fiasco, I don't trust anyone's "sources." It's less than 16 hours, people, and we've waited this long. I'm not even close to giving up hope yet.

We need it so we don't forget. RED: Forget? ANDY: That there are things in this world not carved out of gray (& blue) stone. That there's a small place inside of us they can never lock away, and that place is called hope. RED: Hope is a dangerous thing. Drive a man insane. ------------------------------- ANDY: Dear Red. If you're reading this, you've gotten out. And if you've come this far, maybe you're willing to come a little further. You remember the name of the town, don't you? I could use a good man to help me get my project on wheels. I'll keep an eye out for you and the chessboard ready. Remember, Red. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. I will be hoping that this letter finds you, and finds you well. Your friend. Andy. ------------------------------- RED: I find I am so excited I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it is the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain... I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope. -------------------------------- MCBRICKS: I hope. I'm hopeful.

Local ABC affiliate WJLA posted on its website on Saturday evening that "sources" told them that he had hired an agent. A day and a half later, no other source has confirmed this- and Camille has a story in the Post today that there is still no word and calls to JT3 and Jeff were not returned. WJLA then pulled the story off its front page.

Joey - the best place to look for info is the front page, however here is what went down. they (WJLA DC Channel 7) reported on Saturday that they had a source telling them that Green had signed with an agent. However, since that report no other media outlet has reported that or has anyone confirmed that information so once again we are left waiting. At least we will know officially in less than 8 hours.

The source was BuffaloHoya. $50 bet that he could dupe a news organization and throw the board into a tizzy all at the same time. The man is quite mad. [Sorry, didn't mean to distract from the theme of a "Tacky" thread. That's like a velvet rope, you know? You can't violate a velvet rope!] To quote my main man Moz, "Please, please, please let [us Hoya fans] get what [we] want."

Thanks for the info. I'm a local and WJLA has typically been a reputable source for news. However, the sports people in this town spend 90% of their time on the Redskins and the other 10% is sprinkled around other random teams depending on the broadcaster's interests. So I wouldn't be completely surprised if they screwed this up.
Thanks again.

Read my quote again hoyaskin- they pulled the story off their front page. Screaming, I'm not sure what front page you're referring to, but: 1. It's still on the SPORTS BASKETBALL FRONT PAGE (http://www.wjla.com/sports/basketball.html) 2. And, it's still at the same place/link it's always been (http://news.wjla.com/news/stories/0607/431815.html). Those were the links reported by WilsonHoya and Hordac. My point is the article never got "pulled" as you say, because it's still there where it was first posted by WJLA. Now, if you're referring to the WJLA "News" front page, or the web site's "Home" page, then I never saw it there, and I don't recall anyone ever providing a link to those pages. So, how can you "pull" something that was never there in the first place?

Oh, you mean they "pulled" it from where it NEVER WAS? Thanks for making that clear, Einstein.

I agree this is a stupid argument, but I have to clarify that it was on WJLA's sports front page from the time it was posted on Saturday evening until midday yesterday, at which point it was pulled off.

We're arguing about the deck chairs on the Titanic . . . Which is the Titanic? WJLA's web site? This thread? Our program? Probably 1 & 2, right, but certainly not 3. And FWIW, my boss ate a banana this morning. I don't know what that means. Still looking forward to a liquid lunch or dinner at Tombs to celebrate an announcement because Hope is a good thing.

We're arguing about the deck chairs on the Titanic . . . Haha. I don't know why it made me think of SNL: Titanic crewman (played by Will Ferrell): Why not? Pieces of the iceburg on to the lifeboats!
