...in the draft. I have multiple sources on this one, including members of the team and Georgetown media. He will be drafted somewhere between 5-10 and very likely #7 based on what he has been told. Sorry to be the messenger here!
Folks, until someone says so it in public, it's all speculation. The fact that WJLA pulled its story off the front page still suggests that its "sources" weren't ready yet.--Admin

Basically what I've heard too. Good for him. This one was so long in the making that it softens the blow. Certainly nothing personal, Nyr, but I would like to see this confirmed by a major media outlet.

Could you rename the thread so as not to confuse people

wait the original title of the thread was "Jeff is staying..." and they you say in the draft first thing. That's kind of a edited thing to do. Toying with people like that.

Unless anything you heard was today, then I dont think you can really believe it. Obviously JTIII didnt even know until yesterday, if a decision was ever actually made. So I don't really think you can trust any "sources" unless they are III or Jeff. And no offense to Jeff, but i don't trust him to stay with any decision he makes, until 5pm tommorow when he can't change it.Theres a reason he isn't making his decision official people.

For the record - my sources confirm NYR320's - also I know who his sources are and they would know. So I gues you can say they have everyone else's sources "hanging".

If it's the 7th pick--that would mean T-Puppies correct? Those morons will NOT take Jeff Green--they will go with one of the Florida kids or Al Thornton--trust me--Kevin McHale, Fred Hoiberg, and company are morons--and they are in love with those players--although I think Al Thornton is a big time player--and far too talented to be a T-Puppy--as is Jeff. This is a place that wastes careers--basically Philly Midwest--but I could see Puppies trading the pick to someone who would know what to do with a talent like Jeff for some true garbage--that would be Puppy Basketball at it's finest!!

What I heard is the Bulls and the Sixers want to trade to take him if he's available at 7.

Well if he wants to trade a championship to go to the sixers, be my guest. Maybe he should remeber that AI couldn't even get it done there and, no offense to Jeff, he is no AI. I just hope that on April 7 while Jeff Green is sitting in his living room, he doesn't have regrets watching his friends cut down the nets in San Antonio.

Rumor around here is that Garnett wants out--and he/Agent are looking at Phoenix, Chicago, and Los Angeles--Garnett has a place out in Malibu and spends a lot of his offseason out there. Don't know how this effects the 7th pick--but should be interesting to follow because Garnett is seeing what Kobe is seeing with Lakers--rebuilding and losing time to (for them as players) to compete for title. Phoenix is looking to dump Shawn Marion this offseason--that has come up quite a bit--and they are dangling him out there for teams. Who else they would throw in for someone like Garnett? I'm guessing they would be willing to go with Diaw in that deal as well and some guys like Jumaine Jones to make money even out. Wolves are looking to make moves--just to make them--and appear to fans they care--see the Mike James/Justin Reed for Juwan Howard trade. Only word of caution I could give Jeff Green if I had a chance to speak to him--if your promise is from the T-Wolves--NEVER TAKE THEIR WORD on anything--they are full of it. Hearing Wolves/Philly interested in Jeff has me terrified--for HIM. Bulls--great--but who else is there to play with them if they are going to go after Kobe--who I do think Jeff would be a perfect "Sidekick" to--but they have a lot of shooters/face up guys and need low post scoring-so I could see Zach Randolph being attractive to them or a back to basket player. This is getting beyond interesting and while I'm resigned to fact Jeff's leaving (again), I'd love for him to change his mind and shock us all and return--not just for Hoyas and my personal enjoyment-but to avoid the Wolves/Philly this year and pray someone else has a higher pick next year that knows how to build/run an organization.

What I heard is the Bulls and the Sixers want to trade to take him if he's available at 7. Bulls are in talks about Kobe and Garnett right now--not necessarily together--but trying to acquire both players so I'm assuming their draft pick would be involved. Philly is a moronic organization--so they'd likely trade away their first round picks to move up--and then select Joakim Noah-another limited player down low who can't score with back to basket like they have in many players on roster. Or trade up and take Josh McRoberts--Billy King likes to deal in "cloak and dagger" secrecy and it often is beyond the wrong move-it's a move that doesn't fit what his organization needs.

Bulls are trying to acquire Kobe and Garnett? How could they possibly pull that off? Oh, wait, I forgot that Kevin McHale is the GM of the Wolves. Maybe he'll trade Garnett to the Bulls for Wallace and TJ Brown.
