From today's blog...
• Georgetown's Jeff Green remains the most intriguing early entrants in the draft. At least one player on the Hoyas is under the impression that Green is staying in the draft, but an NBA team said it has been told that he's going back to the Hoyas, sources told ESPN.com Wednesday. Green will work out for the Boston Celtics brass Friday on campus.
Not quite sure what to make of this...players saying he's gone, NBA teams saying he's coming back? All very confusing

Sounds like this is still 50-50 and we have to live with the uncertainty for a few more days. Hmm, I wonder if the NBA team was told this through a text message...

I honestly think that at this point jeff has absolutely no clue what he is going to do. Especially hearing his interview after the philly work out. He sounded like he couldn't decide one way or the other, or that he was completely lost. I think it's going to come down to the wire.

Actually 70-30 is what I expect Jeff to hang statwise in San Antonio over two games...

Haven't we already established that all decisions are 50-50? Good point, BubbRubb, although only decisions in which there are two possible outcomes are 50-50. If Jeff's decision were between going to the pros, staying at Georgetown or starting a pizzeria in Boston with Kenny Izzo and a cheerleader (they could call it Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place), then the odds on him choosing any of the three options would be 33-33-33. That's how math works.

Katz keeps making things more and more confusing...
The NBA thinks hes going back The team thinks he staying in
What does that mean? Nobody knows, but Jeff. I believe Jeff does know what hes going to do. Probably JTIII too, the problem is they arent telling anyone.

If he knew 100% he was coming back to Hoyas, he would not be continuing with these workouts. He gets nothing out of running some one-on-none drills in front of executives from the Celtics except possible bad will for dragging them down to DC. He's a smart and decent kid, so he wouldn't be wasting others' time for no reason. Doesn't mean he won't decide to come back in the end though.

I think IF he has decided to comeback, he would still get the feedback to know what to work on next year. I dont know what he has decided, but im pretty sure he atleast has a good idea of , if he doesnt well than hes got a BIG problem.
I have a question though, when he does make his decision official, do you think there will be some type of announcement? Or are we going to be here on monday night waiting and waiting and recieving no news. And does does he have all monday to decide, or has to have his decision in by monday?

This is pure speculation, so don't take this as fact or informed, but I would bet that Pat is the one Andy Katz spoke to. My guess is that because of his dad, he would probably be the most accessible, and I know pat is a rather loquacious fellow, so it wouldn't surprise me if he shared his feelings with someone like Andy Katz.
In any event, it doesn't really matter who the player is, and while I still think he'll probably bolt, I think we really can conclude that NO ONE but Jeff (and his family) and JT3 know what is going on.

Good use of "loquacious". Good use of "fellow" for that matter.

Normally I'd say "this is Georgetown, don't expect anything." However, as we all can see, the media has been following this process pretty closely and they'll probably report on the final decision. Plus, since he has to file something actually withdraw his name, it'll be pretty black and white as to what the decision is. June 18: Early entry withdrawal deadline (5 p.m. Eastern Time)

For all we know, he could have meant former player and have been talking about Ewing senior. Who knows. Maybe sixers source was the same source as Katz, and the hes just playing games with everyone. Or maybe Jeff has already hired an agent and just likes hearing people talk about him. Or maybe Jeff has already taken his name out of the draft and jus likes people talking about him. Or maybe Jeffs status is changing everyday, which is why we are getting conflicting reports. The way things are going right now Jeff could pull his name out of the draft and we wont find out until the first game of the season...

My chances of going to San Antonio if Jeff stays: 70-30.

Jeff knows what he is going to do (speculation); he's just not saying. I agree with sleepy that he can't possibly still be on the fence. It's a little annoying, to be honest, but I'll forgive all once it's over.
